Wonderful stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Good location in easy walking distance of the centre. There was a private car park where we were able to store our bikes securely. The accommodation was lovely - clean, comfortable, spacious, stylish and homely. Beautiful. Very comfortable bed, good shower and the balcony was a great place to sit. Fabulous breakfast. Most of all though, Johanna was a wonderful, interesting and generous host; it was such a pleasure to meet her.

Staying with Johanna suited my work trip very well.

Johanna was a wonderful host & her unique apartment had an amazing outlook, room was well appointed with massive, comfortable bed. There are so many extra touches, like bathrobes & slippers. Johanna was very helpful with local travel & was a delight to talk with; she communicated regularly, and provided a lovely breakfast. I highly recommend😃.

Although the bathroom was well appointed and clean, the toilet is separate from the room. However, Johanna creates such a warm & welcoming atmosphere, it wasn't a problem.

Exceptional

To put it concisely: B&B de Singel manages to bring together two distinct characteristics that are often not easily combined: being homey & comfortable as well as elegant & refined at the same time. Staying there on a business trip over three days it was just what I had hoped for: a quiet place with an amazing view, but close enough to the otherwise busy streets of Utrecht old town bursting with life. It has everything you could possibly need, including the exquisite breakfast, and all of that with a personal touch. The place is of course is a “reflection” of the host, Johanna, who is a very sophisticated conversation partner, and able to help you out with any information you could need during your stay, or leave alone, if you prefer. Would definitely stay there again!

lovely place, like a home rather than a hotel. Breakfast is delicious and healthy. Room is clean and quiet. Walking distance to the town centre with bus stops next to the property. The hostess is kind and very hospitable.

We had such a memorable stay at Johanna's place! She was an exceptional host, full of stories about her exciting life and travels, and she thinks of everything as far as special touches and amenities. The breakfast is the best you can ask for! Johanna was very understanding of our delayed arrival time, be sure to communicate with her day before or day of to be helpful! She also helped us with easy parking, and made our visit to Utrecht during Koningsdag feel like we were experiencing it with a local!~

Just perfect, in a great city!

Warm welcome and excellent host. Room was very clean and had everything needed. Although very close to the city center, it was very quite. City center is on walking distance, property can also easily be reached with bus, stops in from of the property. Perfect breakfast and great view over the Singel at breakfast!

Central, beautiful place with a super nice and interesting host!

Johanna is such a nice and interesting person! She made us feel super comfortable and was always checking if everything was okay with our stay. The breakfast was perfect, the room was big, clean and comfortable and Johanna made us feel at home, also suggesting places to see and to visit. The house is super central, you can walk to the city centre and has a lot of restaurants and cafes around.

A very comfortable and personalised stay.

We had a wonderful stay with Johanna. She was a delightful host and we couldn't have asked for a more friendly and helpful person to look after us. Breakfast was a feast of eggs, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads & pastries, home made jam. The table was groaning, all in a delightful eating space looking out over the canals. The room was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. There was a private, enclosed balcony with lovely views and an en suite shower and basin. The toilet was just outside the door. The bed was so comfortable, I'd have taken it home if I could! I got the feeling Johanna was very conscious of your privacy and was very subtle in letting you have your own space. There was tea and coffee making facilities. Wine and snacks in the room, recharged at supermarket prices. The accommodation is about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Utrecht and was convenient for shopping, restaurants and transport. Utrecht is a great base to travel around the Netherlands (and we certainly did) with great rail and bus links to all of the Netherlands.

Superb

In B&B de Singel you are basically staying in the spare room of the hostess's beautiful apartment, located just over the canal that surrounds the old centre of Utrecht. The room is well appointed with a heated balcony and a very comfortable bed but the real selling point is Johanna, the hostess, who is charming and friendly and a font of knowledge about Utrecht and the Netherlands generally. She also serves a delicious breakfast based around traditional Dutch fare and was very accommodating of our vegetarian foibles.

Perfecte B&B voor stedentrip, aanrader!

Alles, de goede ligging op loopafstand van het centrum, de mooie kamer en loggia met alles erop en eraan. Sfeervol en erg gezellig, goed bed, heel schoon. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en Johanna een uitstekende gastvrouw.

Die liebe Johanna hat uns ganz herzlich empfangen und war eine perfekte Gastgeberin. Das Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich und man schläft wunderbar ruhig. Ganz toll war auch das Frühstück, das Johanna uns mit Blick auf die Gracht servierte. Das war ein richtig schöner Aufenthalt in Utrecht! 😊

Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw, heel lekker ontbijt, grote kamer, fietsen konden zeker geplaatst worden, dichtbij het centrum. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, leckeres Frühstück, großes Zimmer mit Veranda, zentrumsnah gelegen, Fahrräder konnten sicher untergestellt werden

Falls wir wieder mal nach Utrecht fahren, würden wir bei Johanna buchen.

Lage sehr gut. Das Zentrum ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und nett. Persönliche Wünsche werden gern erfüllt. Frühstück war super. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit bei Johanna wieder buchen. Konnten uns mit der Gastgeberin sehr gut unterhalten, ihr deutsch war sehr gut. Johanna gab uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge und in welchen Lokalen man am besten Essen kann.
