Lokalita úžasná přímo v centru blízko od moře. Apartmán poskytuje vše, co člověk na dovolené potřebuje, včetně pračky se sušičkou a zařízené kuchyně.

Carma, la propriétaire, est charmante, parle le français et est toujours présente en cas de besoins. L'emplacement est exceptionnel pour voir tout ce qui est intéressant à Funchal. Bars et restaurants à côté , téléphérique à quelques centaines de mètres ainsi que la cathédrale, le marché central, etc ...

For us the position of the property was just perfect as it had some of our favourite places we enjoy visiting within literally a few steps ie Arsenio’s Restaurante, Revolucion Rock Bar (superb cocktails), The Snug Old Town and Barreirinha Cafe Bar. Although there are many other bars, cafes, restaurants in this area. There’s a couple of small grocery shops you can nip into for essentials but just a little further down at the bottom of Rua Bela Sao Tiago is a small corner shop with a great selection of fresh fruit & veggies with the supermarket Pingo Doce about 10 minutes away with absolutely everything you need and the most amazing fresh fish and seafood. And the best bakers in the World, Padaria Pastelaria Mariazinha for fresh bread, pastries etc all day every day! The house itself is immaculate in its’ appearance with a good mix of classic and modern furniture and of a great size for 2. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need to make your own meals with the fabulous fresh produce on offer when you don’t fancy eating out. An outdoor space might have been nice but with a great cafe with ‘beach’ access just up the road it wasn’t really missed and I knew there wasn’t one anyway. As others state; it can be a little noisy at night but again I knew that before booking and it certainly didn’t have a negative influence on our holiday and as a light sleeper did not affect me...possibly due to great food, wine and cocktails consumed!

There was nothing we did not like but maybe a free standing fan, iron and ironing board could be useful additions.

The property we found to be of a very high standard, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The position is excellent for easy access to restaurants in the old town. The owners Carmo and Joao could not have been more helpful, wonderful hosts. We certainly would like to return again in the near future.
