Great location, short walk from the start of the Whitley Bay Parkrun. The owner, Jackie was very nice and helpful in providing local knowledge. The room was warm and the bed was clean and comfortable.
I didn't dislike anything. The accommodation suited our needs for a short two night break.

It has been my 3rd stay at The Pines. The landlady is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and the bed is very comfortable. The metro, beach, restaurants, shops are only a few steps away.
This time I had very noisy neighbours.

Location. Quiet. Clean, comfy bed. Nice tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. Good TV.
Generally outdated. Room needed a good clean, skirting boards very dirty and window needed cleaning. No lock on bathroom door. No plug in sink. Light over sink didn’t work. Bedroom needs new carpet.

Everything spotless could not fault the guest house.
It was great value for money and Jackie the host was lovely.

The Pines ticks all the boxes for me, Jackie is an excellent host and always willing to help.
There's nothing to dislike.

It is close to the beach
The showers were a bit difficult to work out and no signage as to how to get the hot water for overseas visitors. The car parking was in short supply with someone semi blocking our way out

Great location. Clean and functional guest house close to everything (shops, seafront, metro, restaurants, etc.)
The bedroom door is unnecessarily heavy and noisy. My room was rather small.

Exactly what I was looking for , peaceful , beach 50m away , town centre 100m , all facilities were perfect, off-road parking, very good , definitely stay again

Everything worked well - shower, good-sized tv - and was very comfortable. Generous refreshment tray including kitkats! Five minutes from beach meant it was easy to come back to base during the day and relax.. Ten minutes from town so an easy walk for eating out, cinema etc. Slept well too. Would definitely return.
The decor was not particularly modern but it is a comfortable traditional guest house.

Very clean with comfortable beds. Location excellent. Sea at one end of road and town centre at other. Good to get one of the two off road parking spaces.

Jackie is a warm and welcoming host and was very accommodating as I had to change my booking. She helped every way she could if I needed anything. My room was very comfortable and cozy with everything thought out that you'd need for your stay. Bathroom right next door - perfect. Best hotel mattress I'd slept on too. Quiet neighborhood and excellent location to the beach and all amenities just a couple of minutes walk. A very peaceful stay and I'd highly recommend

Great location. Jackie was very helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Good shower.
Having booked a room with private bathroom, we were surprised that there was just a shower in the room with the toilet down the corridor.

No significant issues, really.

Jackie the owner was very welcoming and friendly. The shared bathroom was extremely clean, and full of toiletries, as she maintains it throughout the day.
Bedroom was very clean and tidy and bed was comfy.
Located on a quite street just a short walk either way to town centre or the beach.
Hard to say anything bad really, apart from the door to a neighbouring room was very loud and creeky.

Very friendly host. Took care of securely storing my Brompton and trailer. Had all the creature comforts a weary bicycle tourist needs.
Nothing worth mentioning

The location is excellent - just a minute walk from the sea and a few mins walk to the centre of Whitley Bay and the Metro. Also Jackie, the lady who runs it was exceptionally nice and helpful and keeps the place spotless.
This is an old style seaside B&B (without the breakfast) - unpretentious and maybe from another era and is fine for a night or two. There are no facilities in the room beyond a kettle, though, so longer stayers may find themselves wanting a fridge at least. The central heating is very patchy - it only comes on for an hour or so in the morning and then another couple of hours later in the day. If you're in the room in the middle of the day it gets very cold. For what it is, though, it is good value budget accommodation in a convenient location. If you've seen Get Carter (the original) you'll get an idea.

Wifi signal is strong than i expected.
Jackie is nice
The TV is no network, the heater is not work. Although i turn to the maximum but the room still cold all the time. One day i almost spend a whole day at room. I found that the heater is work timeslot : 16:00-18:00, 20:00-23:00, 08:00-09:00.
Even i turned the power to maximum, but it still a little bit warm only. The man who stayed next room also complained the heater is not warm.
I asked Jackie next day, she said it's normal because she is setting the timeslot and temperature.
Are you kidding?
It's 0 degree outside at the midnight but the heater is not work because was the settings?
I am happy to stay again, but definitely not in winter.
