Good hot water clean bedding and towels - quick check in - good size room - convenient location

My heart sank as we arrived at the Ho as the clientele standing outside looked like homeless people. We checked in regardless and were given room 75 which was at the very top of the hotel and in the furthest corner away from the reception. In the next room, there appeared to be 3 further homeless looking people. They were scruffy and the smell from that room was rancid. I was totally horrified! I felt extremely nervous and to be honest I couldn't spend the night in that room. We requested a room change for a room nearer to the reception and to be fair, we were given room 8, which was more suitable. However, we were woken up in the early hours by shouting, screaming, crying, people running in the corridor and slamming doors. This lasted maybe an hour or so, directly outside our room. I was terrified and needles to say, I didn't sleep at all. I would have left there and then but I was too afraid to open the door. Upon check out, there were 3 policemen in the reception area, not really what you expect to see when you check out ! Also, the receptionist apologised for the lou noise in our corridor throughout the night. She Said that the hotel offers emergency accommodation for social services which explains a lot. I do have empathy for people who require this help, but, I really don't think emergency accommodation can be classed as a hotel for leisure purposes too. Our experience was worse than horrendous and extremely stressful. I respectfully request a full refund. Thank you

Perfectly located hotel near the beach and shops and bars. Bonus car park with plenty of spaces. Staff are great and 24 hour reception. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms

Nice spacious room and bathroom. Very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good. Cleaned daily . I didn't really interact with staff as I didn't have any meals but check-in was good and friendly. Would stay again , it's in a good location.

The room received brilliant cleaning service every day, but the whole hotel extremely dated and the dining restaurant not open every day, and the bar seemed limited, not as expected to be. Maintenance needs improvement. Lifts have not worked for some time, assume this wont change any time soon so if poor mobility need ground floor if available.

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth 3 Stars Stayed here recently and was very disappointed. The lift wasn’t working and there was no sign informing guests — we only found out after asking at reception, and the staff made no effort to assist with luggage or offer alternatives. The room was uncomfortably hot with no air conditioning, and the window couldn’t be opened fully as it was locked. When we requested a fan, we were told none were available — ironically, the receptionist had a fan pointed at herself the whole time. Breakfast was poorly managed. The staff member serving food was trying her best, but we had to ask repeatedly for basic items, including water, which should’ve been readily offered. The only positives were the convenient location near the beach and the cleaner, who was the only staff member that was genuinely polite and kind. Overall, this felt more like a 1-star experience, not the 3 stars advertised. Staff were pleasant but not particularly helpful, though they seemed capable enough. Would not recommend

in the room carpet was thread bear and dirty windows dident close properly coudent see out of them tv dident work no signal on arrival was told lift out of action we were put on top floor i am 70 years old and my wife is 75 we had five flites of stairs to get to our room every time realy dated this hotel in need of extensive refurbaration realy disapointing and not worh the money we paid.

The hotel is in a good location for both beach and town centre. Then staff were all lovely and very helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious. Lovely bathroom. Plenty of storage. But the carpets hadseen better days. The window only opened a few inches, which I understand, for safety reasons. But it's was extremely hot in the room. During the week it was fairly quiet except for the seagulls, but I love hearing seagulls when on holiday, so I personally didn't mind. You can't have a seaside break without seagulls can you?Unfortunately on the Friday the club across the street was open so you had loud music and people shouting etc until they early hours. I assume it's also open Saturdays. Such a shame.

It’s a little unfair to the hotel staff . The really warm weather made our stay somewhat uncomfortable . No fault of the staff or the hotel . But on the second (day 2 of 2) , we were offered alternative room . This was a very kind gesture . Really appreciated . Overall very good value for what we paid . Will definitely consider staying there again .

What a tired building. Check-in was ok, told the lift was broken so used stairs - OK. Room extremely hot & stuffy. Went to open windows & couldn't. Went down to reception, asked for a room fan - none available. Bed OK, bathroom sink all cracked & broken. Breakfast OK but to be given juice in kiddies 50p cartons was not great! Wasn't even cold so gave it back. Only a 1 night stay but would not return.

Lovely welcome fabulous staff , the hotel is in an excellent position near the beach and some thank you for a fabulous stay lovely restaurants and coffee shops near by . The bathroom was huge ,with lovely white towels and the rooms we’re spotless , some of the decor is a dated but you can see they are upgrading it bit by bit . The breakfast was delicious quality bacon and sausage, we will definitely stay there again thank the Windsor Hotel 😊😊😊

Bathroom Equipment was broken or faulty.lack of equipment such as a electric fan because the room was boiling but the window could only be opened about 5 ins Asked for a shower mat the shower was slippery, but they didn't have one. The carpet was stained which looked like tar .I'm partially disabled Asked for a disabled room but it was occupied so they put us on first floor. That had 2 flights of stairs, and the lift hadn't worked for 2 years, and no one to help us with the case.the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but you get what you pay for

Room was comfortable, plenty of room, had bath and shower. Wi-Fi wasn’t very reliable, would have liked to be able to open the window more due to heat but it was restricted. Coffee and tea in room were poor quality.

The view was amazing .A few faults the furiture was out dated ..Carpet was tatty no plug to charge mobile. Settee was dirty ad ripped underneath Controller did not weprk for tv.! Thos was passed on to management for me by receptionist whilst out for a walk along sea front!

We enjoyed a two night stay in a twin room. Although the hotel is looking tired and worn in places, it is clean and the room was spacious and quiet at night. It is located just near the promenade and not far from shops, restaurants and ideal for the metro station. The staff were so lovely and helpful and sorted the troublesome window promptly. It is not high end but the price reflects that and it was great for a short getaway.
