On first impressions.
The outside of the building was filthy.
Cigarette stuffs and litter near the main door.
Inside the main entrance/reception. Just as filthy and tired.
The stairs and corridors looked like they hadn't been vacumed or moped in weeks.
The corridors smelled of cigarette and cannabis.
It took nearly 5 minutes of wiggling our door key to get into the room.
The room did not smell clean, infact it had the faint whiff of what I can o my describe as shepherds pie.
No door in the wardrobe, dirty carpet, filthy bed bade, that had hairs all over it, the cups stuck to the tray, the curtain pole was hanging off, not just an odd cobweb, but a full on months of built up cobwebs all above the very tired curtains. The kettle cird wouldn't reach the plug sockets so I ended up boiling the kettle on the floor.
Dont even get me started on the bathroom.
Black mold, very dusty towel rail, uncleaned skirting, the shower head was moldy and rusty and no toilet paper.
The place is used as a halfway house with let's just say, some very colourful residents that seemed to care not how they used the place.
The staff were friendly enough ( except the evening receptionist that didn't even give us the time of day) and breakfast was adequate, but after an almost sleepless night, I just wanted to eat and run.
Agoda, this place should not be on your site.
We stayed in a place the day after for the same price and it was world's apart. So the excuse of " you get what you pay for" wouldn't win any argument.
If there was an option for no stars, then this hotel would fit in that category

Stayed at this hotel a number of times, the staff are always helpful & the rooms are cleaned daily which is nice to see, the breakfast is value for money, & hotel bar gets a few in on a night & everyone is friendly, the only downfall the last few times is the lift hasn't been working for quite some time which isn't ideal if you struggle with stairs or mobility issues, other then that it's a nice cheap hotel,
