Southern Sun Abu Dabhi...disappinted

Room was dusty. I don't think under the beds were ever cleaned. My tablet fell and I bent over to look for it...sweets, dirt everything underneath. Toilet clogged...water rising. Shower small and dirt around knots in shower. Shampoo and body wash dispensers empty....luckily I had my own. Came back late and left very early so made do. Not worth the money. Only good thing was the breakfast. Very unsatisfied with this especially since I am a fan of the brand here in south africa.

Excellent furnishing, cleanliness, and helpful staff.

Smooth check in, courteous and helpful staff, cleanliness, well equipped rooms and central locations. All in all very happy with the stay and would recommend anyone specially for a work trip.

Price was a bit expensive but that is also driven by the season. November/December are peak time for Abu Dhabi hospitality.

Good hotel for business trip.

Room was clean and well furnished. All necessary facilities was there, including safe box and kettle.

A bath was allocated in open area and such room could not be suitable for families. Restaurant food was basic.

Disappointing

I booked a room with king bed and they have given us a room with 2 twin beds combined. Totally disappointed. We were not able to sleep properly. Told reception about it but nothing happened.

We stayed at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi for one night on a business trip. The room was nicely designed, well-sized, and offered all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Overall, it was a good experience, convenient, clean, and well-suited for business travelers.

Not worth having spent the same amount of 5 Star hotels and Room Service / Quality is bery bad.

Lobby, Room service were very bad. They took hours to delivery Towels & Dental Kits almost around our check out time and I requested un the morning. Lobby was having paint and workers whole day and night during our stay. They were continuously doing paint and noise. Lobby area was blocked due to this activity on my room floor

Great hotel, friendly staff and nice facilities (Great Value for money)

Room was clean, Swimming Pool was my favourite part about the place, really nice design and it has a deep water section which isn't easy to find nowadays. Room was spacious and had everything ready

Room service took longer than expected and had to be reminded twice to fulfill my request. I did not like that when I ordered food from outside the hotel, nobody agreed to deliver it to the room and I had to go down to get it from the lobby.

A pleasant stay sadly spoiled

The room furnishings were a bit dated but the room itself was spacious and the beds were SO comfortable to fall into after a long day - we had the best night's sleep! The rain shower was also great. Parking around the hotel was very limited so the basement car park was a real plus and very convenient. The hotel was in a great location and provided the perfect base for our brief visit to Abu Dhabi as we were attending an event on Yas Island and doing a bit of sightseeing the next day. Most staff encountered - valet, reception, housekeeping - were friendly.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 7pm and we had to wait about 15 minutes or so before we could receive our key - not a big deal but a bit surprising considering we arrived several hours after their standard check-in time. Unfortunately, about 10 hours after we'd checked out, we received a call from someone at the hotel claiming that we'd damaged an item of furniture in the room - this wasn't true, but obviously we had no way to prove it and it spoiled what had otherwise been a pleasant stay.

Great location

I enjoyed the property. It was close to the venues such as Ting Irie and the property where I went for a party. The area is also located near coffee shops, stores, and other restaurants. I also enjoyed the pool. It was a moderate temperature. The room was also nice. The breakfast buffet offered a little bit of everything for everyone.

The mirror fell down off of the closet door. I couldn't figure out how to use the lights in the room. Turning off one light switch turned them all off. I also thought the turkey bacon was undercooked.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi and would certainly consider this hotel again if I return to Abu Dhabi

The staff was very nice and helpful and this made our experience even better. The hotel is very well located, close to the Corniche. The property is kept exceptionally clean. Breakfast was a pleasant experience, with good vegetarian options available.

The windows don’t open, so the air conditioning needs to stay on at all times.

A lovely stay at a lovely hotel

I love this hotel. Great value for money and a great location. The room is very nicely devorated and everything is clean and luxe. Breakfast was very nicely presented and the options were good. All staff were helpful and polite, so we'll definitely be back.

we asked for 1 bottled of water from housekeeping dept before we check-out like an hour before. they promised to give but nobody came eventhough we already open the door waiting. we called many 2 times to follow up but they did not give us so we end up going home instead..
