Seagull's Nest

Great location just a few steps from the bustling High Street. Bit of a steep hill to walk up. Not a problem for us, but anyone with a buggy or mobility issues might struggle. Fantastic views out across the East hill and the sea. Norman the seagull was ever present! We enjoyed our stay.

Was very warm, which was great, but only one window opened. Could get a bit stuffy...

Absolutely wonderful cosy charming characterful place, which is a beautiful little home. Scenic views and superb location.

Location very close to the old town. Free parking but up a steep hill, although not uncommon for this part of Hastings where there is little or no on street parking. (Paid parking on sea front but quite a walk). Amazon Prime TV & WiFi included. Close to our favourite pubs, The Castle and The Dolphin. Owner very communicative and helpful, and lots of leaflets suggesting places to visit, things to do.

This isn't a Bookings.com managed property, but Cottages.co.uk. They don't answer the phone or reply to emails, so very poor customer service. After booking the owner will ask you to transfer a £100 bond to her personal bank account, which we queried. She was pleasant enough about it, and it was returned in full, but not open and transparent in the booking process and no 3rd party protection. Double yellow lines on road outside property, which was always taken up with work vans or a disabled vehicle, so loading unloading awkward. Rubbish had to be taken to local litter bins, which didn't seem appropriate.
