The location in Hastings Old Town is ideal for exploring the town and the area. It’s cute, nicely decorated and perfectly appointed. Not suitable for those with struggle with steps as there are a lot. The little terrace at the back is a gem as you can sit outside for meals when the weather is nice. Totally recommend it if you like an old cottage full of character.
The lack of parking. But this is a problem of the town not the cottage.

Is a lovely old property in a great location as very well equipped with comfy beds and a cosy feel.
It was a great property and would definitely recommend to others. The only reason it was less than perfect was that there were no recycling facilities for food, glass, paper/card or tins even though hastings do recycle all these things. Appreciate the cottage is compact, but some bins in the back garden could work. Other than that really was a lovely stay, thank you.

It's a very cute cottage, decorated in rich colours and adorned with funky details. The kitchen was well-equipped and it's always very welcome when a host has provided some basics (tea, coffee, oil, herbs, Marmite!) - the Cwtch was great in this respect. Old Hastings is full of character and interest and the Cwtch is on one of its best streets. Really fun to come and go from the house.
Just a couple of small practicalities: perhaps a bigger mat to wipe one's feet and leave one's shoes by the front door (it rained alot so we were always wet when we came in), and some hooks near the front door for coats - although I realise that there isn't that much room just there. And the house could use a dustpan and brush, and a toilet brush (!). But none of these very minor issues dented our enjoyment.
