About this apartment rental

This unique & luxury home is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Our historical building is in the beating heart of the Old Town, once home to Duke of Wellington and our blue plaque is proudly presented just outside your apartment window.

The Old Town is famous for its busy festive calendar which makes our apartment perfect for watching the Jack in the Green festival from your living room window or as a relaxing base for visiting one of the many food, wine or musical events.

So happy we stayed here on our recent four night trip to Hastings. The property is large and spacious and well furnished. It is very centrally located. After using the buses our first day (with luggage and tired from train travel with three kids and luggage), we relied on our own two feet after that. Easy walk to the Hastings train station without luggage and to anywhere else in the Old Town area and beachfront. The host provided us with a few basic breakfast provisions on arrival which was super nice. The place felt quite cold when we arrived because we were a bit early. We’re not used to places with radiator heating but give it time and keep the doors closed as instructed and it comes to a good temperature. The property does have two steep staircases inside and stairs up to the front door that would not be suitable for children under 6-7 years of age and probably older people as well (70 maybe)? Just the nature of being an older place. We only had the one kitchen trash bag despite a large role of recycling bags. We didn’t realize this until we were trying to clean up for departure. I’m sure a simple oversight because otherwise everything was great. The bathrooms/toilets/showers as lovely and modern, so no worries about that!

We holidayed as two couples, occupying the 2 main bedrooms. Both of us agreed the bedrooms and beds were comfy. Overall the accommodation was perfect. We loved the quirkiness of layout throughout. It was a surprisingly warm and quiet accommodation considering the age of the property. The location of the property is perfect. Central to everything. Checking in and out was easy.The only issue we had was parking. Especially arriving on Good Friday, when all the car parks were ful. Obviously not a property issue but something you need to be aware of, although there is a loading bay outside the shop where you can stop long enough to drop your bags.Overall, we would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking. Enjoy!

What a unique & fun spot to stay in Old Town, easy walking to George Street, beach / water and general exploring. Hosts were very helpful, responsive and flat was well kept, appointed and comfortable. We had an amazing time, highly recommended!! The welcome basket was a nice touch.

This was a bit of a find - great location (right in the Old Town towards the seafront), beautifully decorated and full of antiques from the antiques shop downstairs. It had everything we needed and there was a fantastic bakery hamper provided with breakfast things and milk. We will be back!
