Apartment with own entrance & terrace on West Hill

Ideal location for Hastings,shop nearby for necessities. Was a comfortable stay.good for a short stay.

Good location if your physically fit as there is a steep hill at this location for Hastings town,ok going down! Cooking facility,a hob, ok just for basic meals.no microwave as in photo. TV is located in bedroom.

It was completely private , Kate met us at the gate of their home, showed us around the apartment and showed us recommendations of the area on the map, beautiful scenic view at the park Infront of the apartment , the shower is great and powerful , lots of beautiful shops on the way to the beach , only about less then 10 minutes walk from the beach. Would definitely recommend staying, would definitely come back again 10/10 .

The property is in a good location for Hastings Old Town, a short walk.

The property isn’t what I was expecting, from booking.com description. The photos look great, but I think very filtered. The ‘apartment’ isn’t a separate unit as an apartment, it’s part of a main dwelling (house), so you hear people walking around above you, noise and conversations. So if we could hear them so clearly am sure they could hear us, you are very conscious of this. There’s a door separating you from the their living space. The kitchen facilities are a microwave and a mini fridge, a kettle, 2cups,2plates, 2bowls. No sink, no toaster, no cooker or hob and no unit space. However there is a bowl provided to wash up in the bathroom, not ideal when it’s a vanity unit and not room to fill the bowl up. I hold my hands up here though, I didn’t research this properly and presumed that I would be able to make breakfast here, had a looked more thoroughly I would have seen previous reviews. The decor is tired, the bathroom needs some ventilation and the shower tray needs attention as it can easily flood. Hot water was lukewarm warm some days, I presume again it’s shared by the household, so first up, gets the hot water. There’s no available plug sockets, you have to unplug extension leads to use a hairdryer or charger. But the host was very friendly and helpful. The outside terrace as advertised is, 2 chairs by the fence at the entrance, not really a pleasant space to sit, although I did see a artificial grass area, with some piled up wood and a couple of shopping trolleys out of the bedroom window, maybe this could be utilised? This is a good basic place for a base. It needs a better mattress, sorry but smells of dog. Lovely people , but didn’t suit us.
