Tackleway Cottage

Fantastic location in the heart of all the goings on in Hastings. The cottage is well furnished and has great facilities. The beds are comfortable, thrre are quirky and well thought out staircases, and a sea view from every window! Less than a five minute walk to the sea and plenty of history everywhere you look. Being in old town is a special experience, thank you for having us.

Can be a bit tricky to park and unload/load. This is no fault of the cottage, just local council restrictions.

Mold on the wall near the window in the smaller bedroom, needs to be dealt with. Couldn’t open that window, may be related? Guest book but no pen to write in it :)

We very much liked the location of the property, in the heart of the old town, close to excellent restaurants, George Street, and the modern art gallery.

The mattress in the master bedroom was very soft, and we had to sleep separately. There wasn’t a decent frying pan. We knew there were spiral staircases, but hadn’t expected them to be so hard to use. We were unable to close the key safe when we left, and a neighbour told us that others had had the same problem. We were puzzled by the placing of the television in the stairwell and disappointed to find the bathroom so far from the bedrooms.
