Stylish Unique 3 Bedroom House Hastings

Goede locatie, het huis was goed schoon, de keuken heeft een mooi uitzicht op het dal. De bedden zijn comfortabel (op één 2-persoonsbed na). Het huis is compleet ingericht, alles is aanwezig, Gezellige inrichting van het huis, de houten vloer geeft een warme indruk.

Het 2-persoonsbed aan de voorkant heeft een dun matras, waardoor je de latten eronder er doorheen voelt. De drukke weg is soms vervelend. Parkeren was niet direct een probleem.

The garden wasn’t oven grow grass

* Shampoo and body wash were provided. * There was a good selection of basic cupboard supplies, including salt, vinegar, oil and similar essentials. * Ice was provided in the freezer, which was a nice touch. * The kitchen is nicely decorated and the large wooden table provides plenty of space. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine. * An ironing board, clothes airer and cleaning supplies were provided. * The living room is very cosy and nicely decorated. * The mezzanine is a really cute feature and adds something different to the property. * The shower is lovely and has good pressure. * The Premier is directly across the road, which is convenient. * The town centre and beach are within walking distance — around 20 minutes — although it is quite a hilly walk, particularly on the way back. * For anyone unfamiliar with travelling around Hastings, there are bus services (including the 322 and 347) from near the property into the town centre. Taxis and Uber were also easy to use. We found taxis tended to be cheaper, while Uber was generally quicker. * The property is also very close to the train station, which is convenient if you’d rather take the train into the centre.

- [ ] Cleanliness & condition * Overall, the property wasn’t as clean as we’d expected. This was particularly noticeable upstairs, where the floors didn’t appear to have been properly cleaned. There was also a strange substance on one of the beanbags. * There was quite a lot of dust and muck throughout the property, including on furniture, handles and down the sides of furniture. Some of the furniture was also marked, cracked or chipped, and some cushions in the living room were starting to split. * There was a noticeable musty smell throughout the property. * Some plates and dishes in the kitchen cupboards hadn’t been properly cleaned and still had old sauce/food residue on them, as well as being dusty. * There was also leftover jam and dip from a previous guest in the fridge, which made it seem as though the property hadn’t been thoroughly checked before our arrival. * The shower itself was lovely, but there was some scum and orange residue around the sides. * The welcome leaflet was quite dirty and had been left in a kitchen drawer, so it wasn’t immediately obvious when we arrived. It would be better displayed somewhere more visible and ideally laminated so it could be cleaned between guests. * The towels were quite old and crusty, and only one tea towel was provided. Also, the bedding was quite worn as well, it had noticeable pilling on the sheets and wasn’t all that comfortable to sleep in. Maintenance * The front door was quite difficult to operate. It needed to be pulled and then yanked to close properly, and there was no handle to make this easier. We also struggled quite a lot with the key when trying to lock and unlock the door. * The bathroom sink had some drainage issues. * The kitchen table leg was loose and wonky, and we found ourselves tripping over it when getting up from the table. * There were various signs of wear and tear around the property, including chipped/cracked furniture and marked walls.
