Two bedroom ground floor sea view apartment

Seafront location in Hastings Old Town, characterful 200-year-old heritage building, spacious for two people, good WiFi, decent shower, comfortable beds and sofas.

All minor issues: some noise from upper apartment; dirty windows but probably due to necessary major groundworks affecting the whole crescent; poorly lit kitchen/breakfast bar area (only one of five down-lighters seemed to function effectively); defective/mouldy sealant around bath.

Great beach and sea view from the front bay window. Very clean throughout. Super comfortable mattresses. Perfect location as directly opposite the Pelham Place car park with walking access via the ramp to the left or the stairs to the left of the amusements. Highchair provided which was extremely helpful.

Was a little hot which is to be expected in the height of July summer. Would suggest bringing a fan if staying in the summer and if you prefer sleeping a little cooler.

Fantastic location. Easy to find. Parking (extra cost) right opposite. Had everything we needed inside. Towels and sofa throw all super soft

Unfortunately unclean. Ant infestation on first night. Inside front door all over kitchen floor and coming up walls and onto surfaces. We had no food or drinks there at this time so not like anything attracting them. Ant powder in cupboard, which I used generously and to be fair I only saw one ant the rest of our stay (2 more nights). However, bin lid doesn’t close and no hoover or broom in properly. Not acceptable in a property where they clearly know ants are a problem. Under the sofa nearest window clearly never gets cleaned, crumbs, dust, tea mark underneath. Also the same under both beds with a lot of dust, fluff and bits. Entry instructions referenced a housekeeper. If owners are actually paying someone to clean property then they definitely need to do spot checks (or use someone else?!)
