It was a lovely comfortable room, with plenty of space for 4 of us. Great location and quiet surroundings.
The cleanliness of the shower could be better, needs a deep clean but for one night it was sufficient.

Great accommodation at a lovely old pub, landlady was lovely and extremely helpful. Busy friendly atmosphere, excellent live music on the Saturday night was a bonus. Great value for money.
Couldn’t fault the place

For the money,not a lot.

Beds were comfortable, shower was hot and it had a fridge. Parked in the lane behind the pub or in the Tesco carpark. Fish and chips next door or other food options within walking distance.
Family room no.2 faced the courtyard so there were smokers nearby. The noise from people talking and music playing until 11pm made it hard to get to sleep. Maybe ask for a room around the corner facing the other courtyard or back lane if you're staying with children.

Lovely spacious accommodation which was perfect for our trip away. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, free parking, we would definitely recommend and we will return.
Blinds on the windows in the lounge area as this was also used as a sleeping area. But other than that everything was fab.

The facilities are somewhat tired and could do with a freshen up. A deep clean wouldn’t hurt too.

Friendly reception from the staff and everything I needed was explained. Car parking no problem for a pub the noise levels were great.
Character and no nonsense every request met with ease and a smile.

Room, bed was fine - and got decent sleep despite strong storm winds outside
Power was cut off - couldn't shower in the morning, the second night's stay - we tried to shower (when power had been restored) - no hot water :/

The cleanliness and location. Easy to walk into town in 10mins, but buses stop just outside. Safe parking out back, and really nice and helpful staff, plus the locals are all friendly, thankyou and we will be back.
The bathroom needs a little updating and new towels, please.

Staff were friendly.
Overall the room wasn't too bad, but very dusty. Felt dirty. Shower couldn't be adjusted so too hot. Mentioned it too staff, a can of WD40 sorted the problem. No WiFi couldn't connect to it at all.

Location and the fact it was a pub.
Shower had no pressure whatsoever and no hot water. So it was like showering under a very weak, cold sink tap, really not acceptable. Gladly we were only there for the night.

Location was good, seperate entrance/exit to the pub which was good. Good space and good layout. We had the top floor apartment.
Staff in the pub that we dealt with were very pleasant and helpful.
Pub was very welcoming, had a basic range of beers etc, pool table, dart board, good size beer garden.
Tesco, chip shop and a bakery around the corner.
Kettle and cups in the room, would have been handy to have a few side plates to use when used the bakery and shop.
Hairdyer, iron and ironing board in apartment.
Beach within walking distance, town a nice 10min walk, also on a bus route but didn't use. Parking is available, but if you need to leave early use the tesco overflow parking as we got blocked in by a person using another apartment.
Could do with a good clean, if I'd have been there longer I would have said something and would have gone and bought my own and cleaned.
Beds were ok for 2 nights but dipped in the middle of the double beds.
If you like pristine clean it's not the place for you.
Furniture looked like it all came from the charity shop, which is don't have a problem with but some were on the tatty side.

Very helpful staff who were friendly to my child and puppy. The fact that you can get take away food and eat it in the pub garden was great. Not too far to the beach.
It would be handy to have a little fridge.

Towels were a bit worn

Lovely set of rooms, beds were fine. There was plenty of tea and coffee, which was nice. Lots of space for us all. Location was good too.
The only downside were the showers, which just dribbled out useless. The pub carpark was tight and people had parked over two spaces so we couldn't use it, but you can use tescos carpark next door.

Generally clean and quiet room
Some attention needed. Clean towel had a red stain on it, but was replaced on request. However the shower hose desperately needs replacing, or cleaning. Spoiled a pleasant pub hotel room

A nice comfortable stay, we are a family of 5 and the junior suite fits us perfectly. Lots of things to do nearby. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. This is our second time staying here with a few years gap in between and we still had the same experience. Next door has a Tesco Express, a bakery and a fish and chip shop. The Free parking is good at the Royal Oak, you can either walk down to Weymouth seafront takes around 15 mins or drive down and park in the big pay and display car park. It's a great place to get your head down after a busy time in Weymouth.
The only thing that I would say was that the showers have low water pressure so it was difficult to wash our hair but other than that it was perfect for what we needed.

We stayed at the Royal Oak whilst visiting for the beach rugby. 22 of us stayed over 5 rooms. Each room was spacious with the added bonus of a mini fridge, kettle teas and coffees. The beds very very comfy and the sofa beds too. You couldn't ask for a better location with the beach a 18 minute walk away, or a bus ride that stops outside. Although the pub doesn't serve food you can bring fish and chips from Bennetts next door in and there's also a fab bakery next-door for breakfast baps. We would definitely all stay again!!

No food served, no parking and a nirvana tribute band playing until 21:30 outside my room
A warning about live music.

It was at the back of the pub so you could get a pint
No food or breakfast available though their was a sandwich shop next door and a chip shop opposite.

Passage way to room from the bar was deadly when wet. Huge H&S slippage risk.

Very small room and very noisy

Staying in a building behind the pub, doesn’t get better than that for mates away fishing. Next to a chip shop, can eat chips in the pub, and next to Tesco express.
Nothing comes to mind

The room was quirky and large enough for our party
The room needed a refresh. Loads of potential. Cleanliness wasn’t great.
9.0 / 10.0
The rooms were massive and very comfortable, had hair dryer and iron and ironing board, mini fridge and TV. Ample parking and perfect location
The price is great but I would have gladly paid more if they offered breakfast, we had to go into Wemouth town center for breakfast, by the time we got up, ready and drove to park in the town then got breakfast we were all starving.
It was the only downside to staying here.

Their kindness. On good weather, the terrace may be nice.
The bathroom was old and not so clean. Towels and pillows really old. Also a little too long walking distance from interesting places.

Great value for money, too!
The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but other than that, it was great!
