Perfect stay

Very good stay at Hotel Ronce, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, the evening dinner was excellent with lot to choose from. The room itself was huge and well furnished. The spa area was pretty spacious with lot of commodities. The ski-in/ski-out was possible but you need to go down a pretty steep red slope so beginner, be careful, though there are buses coming up and down every 30min to reach the lifts anyway. I'll definitely come back !

There are no bus after 18h30 to go back to the hotel, so you cannot stay much in Ortisei after 6pm if you did not go down by car.

Good ski stay

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Arrived early and used the ski shuttle to rent skis and access the lift. Good location on the ski runs if they're open. Room was quiet, located in the pastures above the town. Dinner and breakfast were both very good with a comfortable lounge area, plus ski and boot storage.

Didn't use the spa facilities, so can't comment.

clean, quiet, renovated and charming place in Ortisei

A SUPERB hotel in Ortisei!! Hotel Ronce is so much more than a 3 star hotel. It is incredibly clean and quiet, with beautifully renovated rooms while also maintaining its alpine charm. The wellness room with 3 saunas is incredible after a long day of hiking, and the breakfast in the morning was a large and delicious spread. All of the staff were always so kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

it is on top of the hill so if you choose to walk it can be a bit of an incline, but they do have an hourly bus / shuttle service into town that was very helpful!

cosy peaceful lodge

a very cosy lodge with a beautiful grassy front garden. i was lucky to get the room facing the back and had a beautiful view of the mountain trees. i felt so peaceful staying here. our balcony was beautiful and there are separation panels between the rooms so you enjoy the privacy of your own balcony. the breakfast variety was superb and i looked forward to it every day. a lot of pastries and hams and cakes and spreads. i would stay here again if i came to the dolomites another time. we had a car and so it was very easy to get to places. it would be much harder without a car as this place is atop a high sloping hill. the hotel does provide a shuttle service to the town center though, but just note that walking will be rather tiring. but i have to say it was precisely that it was away from the town center that made it extra peaceful like a cosy cabin in the woods.

Very good. Recommended

Clean and a good sized room. Breakfast was very good with my wife's gluten and lactose free well catered for. Plenty of parking. Bus service (free) to Ortisei approx every hour (but couple of hours in the middle of the day are missed). Evening bus was every half hour. This was very useful as it was from hotel door to just a short walk to center of Ortisei, and lifts to Secedia and Alpe di Suisi.

Absolutely fantastic service

I cannot stress enough how excellent everyone working there was to us. From the front desk when we checked in and had a million questions and requests, they went above and beyond (from rearranging our room to offering trail recommendations). Special mention for the woman working at breakfast- when my partner mentioned I was vegan she made sure that I had an impressively wide range of options, and also remembered exactly how I like my coffee every day. It was a fabulous trip, and the accommodation made it really special. The hotel itself was great- everything was lovely, modern and spotless. The spa was a particular highlight, especially the saunas after hiking! Thank you so much!!

Staff were efficient and very friendly. Breakfast was terrific. It's quiet. Free cake awaited us at the bar! Fabulous shower water pressure.

I wanted the curtains and window open for fresh air, but then a bright light on the building would keep me awake. A small issue.

We had a wonderful stay. It's a family-run hotel, so you immediately feel at home. The breakfast was good, and the staff is very friendly. I definitely want to come back. I often think about the lovely week we had in the beautiful surroundings.

Perfect getaway in the Dolomites that exceeded our expectations

Great location. Even though it’s close to downtown, it is a steep climb up to the hotel; so the hotel offers a great shuttle service as well as a city bus service. We also got a great care package for our dog when we checked in! The staff were friendly and willing to offer recommendations and knowledge on the best hikes and restaurants. And the breakfast was very good!

Perfect location for a short stay in Val Gardena.

Very clean property with lovely views over Ortisei town and surrounding mountains. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very spacious with lots of storage and a large balcony.

Mattresses and pillows were a little uncomfortable. Walk up from town is very steep but we were aware of this when booking and chose this property in order to have the views from an elevated location.

fantastic stay

Lovely family owned hotel with valley and mountain views. The staff were welcoming and helpful, particularly Helene, Antonietta and Stefan. The hotel breakfast was great with a good selection of hot and cold foods. Our room was big and the beds comfortable. There is a bus service from the hotel that takes you in to town where there are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops, and the hotel run a shuttle bus to town and back in the evening once the bus stops running. You are also close to the cable car and funicular which take you to some lovely mountain walks. we enjoyed our stay here and would definately recomend this hotel.

Not much, but a fan in the room would have been great as we had quite hot weather. No bar fridge but the owners were very helpful providing ice.

Amazing. Just fabulous.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It is immaculate. Family run. The staff are so friendly and kind. Breakfast was brilliant. There is a service bus stop outside and the stay comes with a free pass. When the service bus stops there is a courtesy shuttle back up. On one occasion the proprietor spotted us and gave us a lift up! Very near to town. A great starting point for numerous mountain walks with the cable cars and funiculars in Ortisei. We had a wonderful time.

Wonderful stay, clean and hospitable hotel in an ideal location in Ortesi

The hotel was in the perfect location to reach all the main attractions in Ortesi, specifically the cable cars. The room and the hotel were very clean, the staff was very hospitable and our daily breakfast was the perfect start to the day. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Having a real hairdryer in each room. I nearly burned my hand trying to use the ancient wall mount one provided. A small detail but either mentioning.

Hotel Ronce is perfect in every way.

Hotel Ronce was perfect. Presiding up the slope with a view of the entire town. It’s immaculate and I’ve never stayed anywhere with staff so accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and their generosity had no limits. Fantastic breakfast buffet, really useful free bus service, if you don’t fancy walking up and down the hill, and full of information and tips to help plan your activities. If I return to Ortisei I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

A Perfect Stay in Ortisei

Great location - we wanted to stay somewhere near to the Seceda Ridge hike and this was perfect. Loved having a balcony overlooking the valley. Staff were super helpful and friendly. They organised more dairy free options for my partner at breakfast without us really asking. Good bonuses included spa downstairs, free access to local pool and buses.

Twin room is quite small. Somewhat of a challenge if you do not have a car and have to rely on bus. About a 15 minute walk up steep hill from town center.

The meals and room were fantastic, especially for a solo female traveler. It was nice not having to leave for the meals.

The only downside is you’re on a steep hill, so if you walk it’s exhausting. There are busses that come by, but you really have to schedule it out.

Only thing is the hotel is located on a hill so if you are walking, it is very strenuous. The bus comes every hour.

Great location, friendly stuff and spacious rooms with great view. Also you get free ticket to Ortisei bus line and free entrance to public swimming pool. The hotel also has its own wellness zone including sauna and steam room. The breakfast was delicious.

Nice, but for the price you expect a higher good hotel orientation

Location, view, lovely place

A hotel with SPA SHOULD NOT close the spa at 7 in the evening! Evening time to relax after being skiing or arriving after long driving is thinking in the customer… then opening time UNTIL 4 pm? We payed for a hotel with a spa that we could not use it! Plus hotel normally will offer, use the spa even after checking out. You feel welcome, get changed in the Spa, use the facilities of the hotel . We asked for it because we had it other hotels, receptionist looked at us like are you crazy, she said, you checked out you are out. Absolutely no sense of business and no friendliness at all. Learn from other hotels - our advice! Ah! Breakfast was not as good as described.

The staff was always polite and welcoming. I was always greeted well during breakfast and dinner. They also recommended me good routes to hike. Also, kept me updated with the weather forecast. Also some good tips to click good pictures of the Dolomites.

The hosts were very friendly, especially the guy on the reception, he came out of the hotel to welcome me, also he guided me for the best places to visit and gave me maps for them. Moreover, they give me a free bus ticket for Val Gardena. In general the hotel was really great with its staff.
