If you want a quiet escapade, to be away from the central tourist area, Vanadis will be a good stay.

Vanadis is a family run B&B that is warm and homely. The rooms were very comfortable, and in the winter cold, the rooms were very comfortable (not too cold or warm). The hosts were friendly, and provided the necessary information readily for our time there. We got there earlier, and probably because its the off peak seaaon, they were kind enough to allow us to check in earlier. Breakfast was generous, sumptous and they could even remember our drinks order from the previous breakfast. We totally enjoyed our time there. One important thing is that they are just beside the bus station, so if you are coming by bus, this is a good place to stay without having to walk too far with your luggage.

Great hotel to stay in the Dolomites area, relatively central to many points of interest in the area, 15 min walk from downtown Ortisei, or free bus passes offered by the hotel to those who prefer not walking. Parking in Ortisei downtown is expensive and usually full, therefore we recommend leaving the car in the hotel. The best feature in the hotel is the staff. Always friendly and ready to provide guest with information and the best service. In our last night, as we were leaving very early in the next morning, one of them (unfortunately I forgot his name) offered to leave a bag with breakfast for my wife and I. It was kind, and we felt very good with that gesture. There was a barbecue offered to guests on a sunny evening, which we though we would pay for it, and it complimentary, another great gesture, well appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic every day. The room had a balcony with beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. A very interesting setup, with a kind of booth table, well nested between the bed and the bathroom. Good use of space, and comfortable for seating, we used it in one of our nights for tasting a board of local cheese and speck (the local prosciutto) and a bottle of wine.

Great stay close to the city center in a cozy family run place that makes you feel at home!

Property was cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Staff was incredibly kind and went out of their way to make our stay great and give us tips for exploring the town. The location was convenient, and the views were wonderful.

The hotel was 20 metres from the bus stop which was a bonus. It was a 5 minute walk uphill to the Ortisei central cafes and restaurants. It could not have been more comfortable. The room was exceptional and the breakfasts an absolute highlight. The staff were so knowledgeable about the area and recommended daily walks.

A 10/10 experience in Ortisei

My stay at Hotel Garni Vanadis was exceptional. It’s a quaint hotel with gorgeous mountain views and a short walk from down town Ortisei. Our room had a balcony overlooking a river which was great to block out any outside noise. Our hosts were incredible. They made us feel at home and gave us great advice on hiking trails and options. The included breakfast was also great - with a huge spread of fresh foods, cakes/breads that the hosts baked, and freshly squeezed fruit juices. They even happily made us a cappuccino every morning. They also offered us free guest passes for the bus system so we could travel all over Val Gardena and to Bolzano as much as we wanted for free for the duration of our stay. This was super useful for us to have access to the hiking trails and get us to-and-from the trains in Bolzano. A 10/10 stay (we didn’t want to leave) and I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go to the Dolomites!

Loved the breakfast spread. Loved the view from the room. The rooms are cleaned in the morning every day. You come back to a clean room and towels. It's perfectly located. The center is just a 10 minute walk. If you don't want to walk, the bus stop is right outside. Overall its a 10/10.

its was super convenient; right out of the bus stop! so taking the bus from Bolzano was easy peezy! The hotel location is walking distance to the main town area and also to the cable cars both Alpe di Suise and Seceda! it had amazing views from the balcony as well! and great breakfast!

We liked absolutely everything! Really happy that we found this place and we would definitely come back if we will be visiting Ortisei again. We slept very well on a comfortable bed, bathroom is renovated, everything is extremely clean and cozy. Our hosts were super nice, always welcoming. Breakfast beautifully served, a lot of options and some new homemade options everyday, so nice! Doggy Fayro is the cutest (probably misspelled name, sorry ;) )
