The Mariners - Torquay

The location is fantastic within easy walking distance to all the amenities and surrounding areas. The hosts were very new to the property so understandably there were some minor issues but they did everything possible to make us very welcome. Star and Max made sure we were well looked after with an excellent breakfast service. One suggestion would be to serve a continental breakfast instead of it being self service, maybe some fresh fruit or something similar, perhaps a porridge option would be good?

The shower in our room was quite poor and needs looking at. Also the toilet roll holder needs repositioning as makes sitting on the toilet difficult

Location was right in the centre of town so easy to walk everywhere. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The harbour room was cozy but clean and comfortable..

The property itself was so nice. The staff, Max and Jak, were absolutely lovely. And the breakfast! Wow. I loved my stay and can’t wait to be back :)

Great location and real welcome. Although we booked a double room were given a small double which we struggled with. No room to accommodate suitcases or personal belongings. WIndow looked out on wall and no view at all. Sliding door to bathroom by side of bed. This room should be advertised as a small double at a reduced rate. Cooked breakfast fine but you had to make your own tea and toast while breakfast got cold. Continental breakfast should offer fresh fruit salad, fresh bread and croissant from bakery daily. Defiñately not a 4 star guest house. Could well have been with previous staff but recently taken over by new staff. Although has 3 parking spaces not easy to park. .

Booked a Double Room but were given a small double which we struggled with. Sliding door badly fitted by side of bed to bathroom. No shelf to put toilet bags etc at all. No room to put cases. No view at all. Room totally unsuitable.
