The amazing location, nestled in the Italian Dolomites! Vintage 1899 hotel with exceptional staff.
I would recommend to anyone who appreciates the snowcapped mountains.
Nothing not to like.

We stayed here for 5 days in Feb and it was incredible. First of all the location is absolutely amazing. Really pretty, amazing hikes / snowshoe trails right from the hotel, and very peaceful. We optioned to get dinners with our stay as well and it was 1000% worth it. Incredibly delicious and an amazing menu every night. I really hope to stay here again. Also Lilly the newfie is the best door greeter ever!
The pillows on the beds were pretty hard / lumpy. But really a minor complaint, I was able to sleep fine.

Breakfast (and dinner) were EXCEPTIONAL, unlike any other buffet we’ve been to. So many dishes to choose from, it was really something special. The evening we got there - it was a bonfire and torch walk around the lake + free mulled wine and snacks for the guests… perfect experience… Location is to die for! Will come back again very very soon….

The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The room was clean, very quiet at night. Parking was close to the entrance and free. Breakfast was very tasty, with good omelet and sausages, fresh fruits, very good coffee and big variety of cakes. The dinner was incredible, aperitive bar was cozy and making very good cocktails. This was the heaven on earth.

Location & 125 years old History of the hotel
It could have full functional restaurant for an ala carte menu.

Pros:
View towards the lake is beautiful.
Hiking around the lake is also very pleasant.
Cons:
Staff during check in and check out were too cold and not friendly at all. During the check out I was even questioned about the payment even though I paid online.
Extremely priced for almost 0 things to do besides spending even more for a quick boat ride or have a quick bite which also cost way too much. Drinks are ok not as pricey as the food.

The properties location is amazing. Breakfast buffet was plentiful & had a great selection. Staff was professional & courteous.
The walls are pretty thin, unfortunately we had very loud people in the adjacent room. The beds were a bit hard.
5.0 / 10.0
Location was everything. The hotel itself is outdated and needs an update. The beds were extremely worn and you had to sleep directly in the center. The hotel location and parking is what we went for. You only need 1 night there to experience the lake. I wouldn’t stay there more than that. If this hotel did an updated renovation it could really be great.

You are paying for the lake, which become almost private in the evening since no one is visiting at night.
The service is poor for a 4 stars, close to unfriendly for some of the staff. The rooms are whatever but especially the food is poor quality. Never been to a 4 stars with that low quality of cooking, especially not in Italy.

The location is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, the view from the room stunning.
The hotel is a vintage place with a lot of flair, the classical Dolomiti stone hotels that were luxury in the first part of 1900 (the hotel was built in 1899): we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Breakfast fantastic, very good dinner/
During the day, the lake if overcrowded with tourists, but this is why you have to stay in the hotel: early morning and late evening the lake is all for you :-) You cannot avoid this, and the place is in any case very well organized to absorb the visitors as well as possible.

Excellent dinner and breakfast. Location can’t be better, right in front of the lake.

the Location is heaven! No words can describe the beauty!!! The hotel is clean and safe. They gave my friend a free upgrade.
The staff are kind but you won't see that on their faces, their facial expressions doesn't show you that but they are really helpful and nice. Don't expect full service and assistance, you shall carry your own luggages to your room, but it is not a big deal they do have a lift and The hotel is BEAUTIFUL!
Bring your water and snacks for the room we forgot and the nearby restaurants close early.

The bed was horrible. It was way too hard. The wifi was very bad too.

The lake itself is the selling point of this hotel. The breakfast was good but don’t get your hopes up about the coffee.
So, my best friend and I who haven’t seen each other in almost 2 years booked this weekend away as a reunion. Obviously we were trying not to focus on the negatives but they were so many.
- we received a weird response for sharing a room when we responded to their question that we were not sisters
- we paid for a room with a balcony and lake views, we did not get this and could hardly see out of our tiny window
- we were sat in a distant corner on our own at dinner, far away from all of the other patrons which was a very isolating and strange treatment
- we asked to change rooms to one with a balcony and we were laughed at by the staff
- we did not feel welcome by the staff at all.
I feel quite sorry for the staff as some were clearly bullying the others, and one made me feel rather uncomfortable when he gently touch and rubbed my shoulder without my permission, I found this behaviour to be extremely unprofessional.
It was a very sad experience in all honesty, and an expensive one at that…

What a stunning view, hotel and great food. Everything all wrapped up into one perfect place to stay. Parking is great with no added fees, food was high end and there is nothing that can beat the location. Staff was amazing as well.

Location is adorable, nice and clean hotel, good food.
The staff behaved strangely, with the exception of the receptionist and two waiters. The cleaning lady barged into my room three times — either without knocking or after I had said “please do not disturb right now” — which disrupted my work meetings. Once, I was lying naked under a blanket and she entered as if it were her own home.
The second incident involved the cocktail menu. I understand that when waiters also act as bartenders, it’s best to keep expectations low. But even after I refused the cocktail, it was still added to my bill. I showed a photo of what a classic Clover Club should look like, and the waiter said that’s exactly how it’s supposed to look. I’m attaching that photo below.
Eventually, the cocktail remained on my bill until I raised the issue at reception, where it was finally removed.
I don’t know the name of the manager — he looks over 60 — but he behaved quite rudely, and I got the impression he was looking at me as if I were homeless.
If we ignore all the service details, the place itself is beautiful, and I would still consider returning, but during the winter season.

The view and location can not be more impressive. Simply stunning. The included dinner and breakfast were also delicious and well worth the visit and price. We had a balcony looking out onto the beautiful mountain and lake. The hotel is reminiscent of another time.
The rooms are old, as is the furnishing. Very thin walls. The old hotel is a little in need of an upgrade. This is a tourist spot, and there are a lot of people mulling about. There is also a lot of logging happening in the area and it was sad to witness on the local trails.

An absolutely amazing stay: a historic hotel located on the Prags lake, stunning nature, quiet ambience. The owners made a great job preserving the historic elements (like pieces of furniture placed in the corridors, pictures, etc.) and adding comfort with modern facilities.
I absolutely need to mention the restaurant: great breakfast with the lake view. Dinners were very tasty too: you need to choose one warm appetizer and a main course out of three choices plus a desert and buffet with a huge variety of cold appetizers.
The personnel did their best so you'd feel at home.
What we also loved, is the friendliest dog that belongs to the hotel owners who was accompanying us walking our dog in the morning :-)
I definitely recommend staying at this hotel!
The internet was not stable in my room, however, downstairs in the big and nice aperitivo room it was always good.

It is the uniqe history place and the hotel, not bad lounge areas. Private parking and stunning views from the room. Unforgetable delicious and rich dinners
Everything concerning the furniture are much under expectations. On the floor and in the room you feel like in a super budget hospital, there are no cosiness at all. The onle great motivation to leave the room as soon as possible. Unfortunately I spent 4 nights in the hotel and it has been my worst experience for years. Really old rooms with lots of not comfortable things, starting with internal doors, which are not close due to mulfunction; cold air from outside because of holes in the balcony door; a difficulty to set a comfort temperature in the room because of the cheap radiator types; super budget renovations of the bathroom is not useful and it is not because of an olderness stilization; bathroom faucet with two valves so it is difficult to set a right temperature of the water and which doesn't help in water economy; great lack of the light (one lamp ~6W in the room) - you may hurt your eyes while read something with this light; frosted glass door in the room and to the bathroom from the corridor, so anybody could see what happening in your room/bathroom; holes in the floor; the absence of teapot and any other sources of hot water. Overall feeling are really awful, so I would not recommend this hotel until the overhual is being made.
