From checking in to checking out everything was great here. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the room had everything you could ask for and the bed was super comfy. Food is plentiful and fresh and the location of the hotel is great, just a short walk from the castle area.

Lovely little hotel..didn't expect what we got especially judging from the outside but pleasantly surprised! Gorgeous bathroom and all basic needs met for example nice big bed, tv, coffee machine and shower. Pub had a great vibe, we had an evening drink after dinner and the breakfast was good to perfection (runny yolk) and filled us up for the way home. Overall a good stay over, would stay again!
The door open at the bottom of the stairs all the time allowed a breeze through to the rooms, although you could control the heating so wasn't too bad.

great place, with the accommodation being tacked on to a busy pub, so great if you like that sort of thing; nice atmosphere, breakfasts were brilliant, easy, free parking at the racecourse (very close by) and all generally very good indeed - highly recommended !

All of the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was modern and very clean. The food was delicious and well presented.
No kettle in the room, I asked for decaf coffee which I was given but not way to make it.
No hot chocolate even though the list of drinks in the room said there would be.
