Room and view was excellent, breakfast was amazing something for everyone, hotel has its on pub lovely place, Italian restaurant is fantastic, only minor criticism was the pool area doesn't get very much sun but the beach is 2 minute walk. The staff at all levels go above and beyond for this hotel.

Th location was excellent and all the rooms have great views of the sea. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we felt well looked after. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable.

The swimming pool area is in the shade all day - good at some times of year but not in January.

First visit to Dubai overall enjoyable, although this JA hotel, in my opinion, did not meet the standard of my first JA

Location, facilities, staff, dining options, clean and mostly comfortable.

Booked a room which was stated as suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. The sofa bed however was only a single and in addition when laying down the foot end lifted from the floor so not at all comfortable.

Excellent quality hotel.

It was well located, the rooms were spacious with great view of beach, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We ate in Aqua but our evening meal package let us eat in the Italian which was excellent.

The only small thing is although all was great the shower that worked well look like it needed smartening up a bit.

Very good experience

Location, size, facilities, food, lots of storage space and security.

Facilities in full working order but beginning to show their age with wear and tear. Issue with the Travel desk person, not at all impressed. She needs further customer care training. Too busy on her mobile ( personal calls) kept having to wait until she finished. When asked directions all she would do was point and say “follow the road”. Suggest she is observed before talking to her.

Great position in JBR, friendly service, good value for money (at least with the discount I found), no private beach but direct access to the public one

Not really a 5 stars hotel, no coffee machines in the room (now standard for all 5 stars), shower temperature is highly volatile, single shower-bath unit, underwhelming breakfast with cheap orange juice

Superb staff,clean,everything was lovely. Can’t wait to stay again

Loved our stay. Breakfast was brilliant,room was in great conditions,no complaints. We landed early morning and arrived to the hotel around 8am, we were hoping to even be allowed leave our bags and the lovely lady at reception allowed us to check in to our room at that time,no problem. Staff were all lovely and there was never any problems. Will definitely stay again

Excellent stay with stunning ocean view and great wheelchair accessibility

My mother uses a wheelchair, and I was truly impressed by how well the hotel is set up for guests with limited mobility. We were given a specially adapted room that made everything easy and comfortable — from the wide entrance and accessible bathroom to the smooth access around the hotel. Even getting to the pool and breakfast area was convenient, with ramps and helpful staff always ready to assist. The room was clean, spacious and beautifully designed, with an incredible view of the Arabian Gulf. The location is perfect — right on The Walk at JBR, surrounded by cafés, shops and restaurants, and just a short stroll to the beach. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and every staff member we met was polite, friendly and genuinely caring. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families and guests who need wheelchair access. We felt comfortable, welcome, and truly cared for throughout our stay.

The swimming pool area felt a bit plain and lacked atmosphere — it was clean and functional but not very exciting compared to the rest of the hotel.

Excellent Stay!

The staff were super friendly and helpful — always greeting us with a smile and happy to assist with anything we needed. From requesting an iron to arranging a taxi, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great, and the location is excellent — just a short walk to the beach. The swimming pool area is lovely and perfect for relaxing. Overall, a fantastic stay — would definitely recommend!

The receptionist claimed they gave me an upgrade, only to later discover that the beds were combined, as if they were a king size! I didn't enjoy sleeping on it, and thank God I wasn't staying for long! Also, the refrigerator was empty, too! I also didn't like the bedside lights; they were old.

A very relaxing and satisfying stay

The breakfast buffet is fantastic; the food is very fresh and delicious. Great service. The room is spacious. The SPA has a sauna, a steam room.. I was there with my 5-year-old daughter, and the beach is right in front, plus lots of restaurants and playgrounds nearby. Highly recommend the hotel for anyone. Transportation is easy access as well. Around a 20-minute walk to the closest metro, but you can hire a LIME / two-wheels electric scooter on the streets; it only takes 5 minutes to reach the metro.

The jacuzzi could use an update, as it's for both men and women. The size is relatively small. I wouldn't feel too comfortable to be in it with another male stranger

It was a good stay overall, but a few things could have made it even better

Prime location with easy access. The restaurant Aqua was fantastic, and the staff were incredible. Mr. Kumara was very kind. The concierge and valet services were also excellent. However, the check-in experience was not pleasant

Great hotel, central to everything

Breakfast was well organised by staff seating you. The choice available was excellent. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. This was our second visit. It’s a great hotel in a super spot.

Because it was August the pool area got very busy, the lifeguards do an amazing job and are very strict, sadly some of the guests are simply rude to the lifeguards just because they aren’t there early enough to reserve a sunbed. We witnessed some horrible children with even worse parents, felt really sorry for the lifeguards who were outstanding in trying to resolve issues. We wouldn’t stay again in August purely for the amount of kids in pool who weren’t controlled by parents. But the hotel itself is super and we’ll be back again.

Ths ambiance, all staff were accomodating, the room is clean and bed was comfy. The amenities are good..best thing just a walk to the beach, nice cool pool.

JA Ocean View Hotel is located in a bustling part of the marina. It is near the beach, restaurants and other amazing attractions. Staying there has made it easy to simply walk to wherever.

Great story with an unhappy ending.

The view of the pool and the beach was wonderful, the rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly when we needed things, the valet service was good. Ola restaurant had good food.

On the last day of our stay money went missing from our room and couldn’t be recovered.
