Excellent stay, not reason for any complaints

the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The location is ideal for local movement. The staff were just superb, especially Hazmih and Mumin. There were several dinning options available, all of these restaurant staff members were all well versed and super helpful.

We asked for a marina view … we had a view of a wall and straight into apartments opposite. There was no walk in shower and the bath had been repaired poorly, the bed sheet was ripped and wasn’t changed in 4 days, the room was basically furnished with poor quality furniture. Reservation staff were actually disgustingly rude when I tried to explain to them before arrival that I was in a wheelchair and could that be accommodated.

a great experience by the Marina!

Mumin - at the reception was incredibly helpful and gave me a fantastic room with a quiet atmosphere and a stunning view. The room itself was cozy, well-maintained, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast offered a good selection of healthy options as part of the continental spread. Check-in and check-out were absolutely hassle-free. Despite a few drawbacks, the overall stay was very pleasant. The view, location, and service made it worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this property for a comfortable and scenic stay by the Marina.

However, the in-room dining experience was a bit of a letdown — I ordered biryani, but it was served with what seemed like stale rice. Additionally, I was surprised to see a charge of 20 AED for in-room cutlery service, something I’ve never encountered at other 4- or 5-star properties. The only other minor issue was the limited bottled water — they provided just one bottle daily, and I had to request more each time.

Good place to stay in Dubai

Location was close to a lot, and easily a walk to the beach and all the nearby attractions, or a short walk/lime scooter ride across the marina. Bar shut late.

Like a lot of places though in Dubai due to high traffic, what should be a short uber ride to say the palm, becomes a long journey, however this is the case with driving anywhere in Dubai. Gym equipment very limited. Decent for its small size though. (Max dumbell 24kg)

The hotel was in a great spot perfect for checking out the city and also relaxing on the beach. My room was super clean, really spacious, and the bed was super comfy. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with anything. I only ate at the hotel restaurant once, but it was really nice. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Perfect getaway.

We enjoyed staying in the hotel. The location was very good, free transfers to metro and Marina mall, very good breakfast and also dinner buffet - not very huge choise, but still - very tasty and enough of everything, good coffee, good wifi, very good pressure in the shower. Kind stuff. Also the pool was nice and with the towels. Also the elevators worked good, big hotel, but had not to wait too long. The rooms were quiet, with good view, also the room was upgraded on arrival. The taxis are available on the spot.

The pillows were extra big and uncomfortable, the breakfast area in the morning was crowded, some of the guests were noisy.

The hotel is tidy, a couple of restoraunts around, and grocery stores are available. The best thing about this hotel is top-tier staff. My special thanks for Ms. Amani and Ms. Leila for being helpful and nice. Also, I would like to note the professional and caring approach of Mr. Adam, i would definitely miss that.

The hotel is a little bit away from the seaside and might be tricky to find the shortest way to beach.

All in all the hotel is excellent! my recommendations

We arrived much earlier than the planned check-in time and paid for early check-in and entered the room. All the hotel staff are extremely friendly, and I would especially like to praise and thank Muminjo who provided us with access to Soluna Beach. Also, a big compliment for the cleanliness because the room was cleaned and kept tidy every day.

The only complaint is that the pool is small and there are not enough sunbeds. Also, the food could be more varied and adapted to the guests.

Review Title: Outstanding Stay at The First Collection – Dubai Marina I stayed at The First Collection – Dubai Marina from 02 to 06 May, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The team was amazing—friendly, flexible, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Their hospitality really stood out and made me feel at home. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel: fresh, varied, and delicious. I also enjoyed the restaurant and lounge club, both offering a relaxing atmosphere and great quality. The location is ideal—right in the heart of Dubai Marina, just a short walk to JBR Beach, the Marina Walk, and Dubai Marina Mall. During my stay, I visited: Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye) – incredible views from the top. The Walk at JBR – perfect for dining, shopping, or an evening stroll. Yacht and boat tours – a must-do experience to see the skyline from the water. While the city is impressive and vibrant, I would advise other travelers not to get involved in property or house investment promotions that are often pushed onto tourists. This is something to be cautious about—many people in Dubai are visibly struggling financially, and behind the luxury image, there is another reality. It's important to enjoy the experience without getting caught up in pressure sales or unrealistic investment offers. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s modern, clean, and well located, and the staff make it a truly welcoming place. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Dubai.

Good family hotel, by Dubai Marina

Staying near Dubai Marina meant we were close to the busy parts of Dubai, a short taxi away from most of the main sights. The hotel staff were wonderful, especially the door staff, the ones at check in and the kind gentleman who saw us having such an issue with booking.com and taking care of us thereafter. They gave us a huge room with a living room / which turned into a sofa bed - so literally instead of twin they upgraded us to a suite. The hotel has access to Soluna beach club, which was good but not as exclusive as the other high end beach clubs in Dubai. But considering this was included, we were not complaining. And they take you via shuttle to the beach club. There are regular shuttles to mall of the emirates and Dubai marina mall, as well as the metro station too - all super handy. We didnt use the amenities as we were super busy doing stuff outside the hotel, but they have full gym, pool, sauna, steam room & have a cafe and a shop downstairs. Theres also an ATM machine which is helpful The staff were very attentive and very kind - thank you so much. Just want to shout out to hotel manager Elie, thank you so much for being so patient & considerate when booking.com messed up our booking - you treated us with dignity and respect and we thank you for this. Irfan and the cleaning team- you were absolutely superb, thank you, excellent service.

I’d say this is very much a family hotel and the breakfast is borderline chaotic and busy in the mornings. I’d say if you attend breakfast after 8.45am be prepared to queue. They usually open up overspill breakfast rooms but somehow it’s not quite the same as the main breakfast room. I’d say it’s still fine, but if you fancied a quiet morning or a romantic breakfast for two, this might not be it. Would love it if there was a few more hotel organised trips to common sights like the Gold Souk or Global Village - that would definitely be appreciated for next time.

It is an old, crowded hotel, which needs renovation as soon as possible. At breakfast in small space were a lot of people and the meal was not very diverse. It is not 4 star hotel at all.

Not Great

The moment I reached the manager about the Problem with the 2 room it was quickly resolved.

We arrived quite late, and upon check-in, the staff attempted to upsell us to another room. We declined, as we had already paid a reasonable amount for what was advertised as a “superior room.” However, we were informed that the only available room—despite our booking—was on the first floor. This didn’t initially bother me, so we accepted it. Unfortunately, the room faced the lobby, where floor polishing was taking place at 3 a.m., making it quite noisy and difficult to sleep. We requested a room change, but it felt as though the staff were using the situation to pressure us into paying for an upgrade. Exhausted at that hour, we reluctantly agreed and paid the additional fee. The experience genuinely felt like a scam. After moving into the upgraded room, we had to change yet again the following night due to a malfunctioning AC unit that made constant noise and prevented us from sleeping.
