Good location. Would not stay again.

Good location. Walking distance ti centre of town. Quiet neighbourhood.

The stairwell and landings are runs down but possibly in the process of being decorated. Only one thin pillow each. Electric blinds would not open once closed. Fire alarm went off at 1.30am. The property is above a Turkish restaurant which you can smell throughout the property. Smell of cigarettes from people smoking under the room outside the property.

Terrible, would never return.

We met my lovely gentleman who found us a location for our bicycles. However, that was the only positive of this facility, except that it was in a good location.

The property was on the second floor and very difficult to get to. Extremely steep stairs and a light that only comes on after you’ve got to the door. The apartment is grey, with grey furniture, with grey floors, and everything grey. The decor was unfinished in some places. The windows have been frosted out with advertising slogans on so you can’t see out of them. You feel like you’re in a prison. The layout of the apartment is very bad with a small bar fridge and microwave in the bedroom, and then a table and chairs in another room. There is nowhere to sit and relax even though it’s advertised as an apartment, and with the exception of the two knives, two forks, two plates and two glasses there are no facilities at all. Not even spoons. They did provide a little glass full of tea and coffee and sugar but no way of making it, as you wouldn’t want to put the glasses in the microwave. a good scrub of the bathroom, and a few pictures and friendly touches around would be advised as well. Overall extremely disappointing, a waste of money and I would never return.

Great value and welcoming in central Tournai

The host was exceptionally welcoming, offering to pick me up from the station as I arrived late. The location in the centre of Tournai was great and the room was spacious and clean. It was quiet while I was there, as it is a pedestrian street.

Although I was provided with coffee, tea and a microwave I did not find any shampoo

This is a nice location. But for a price just a bit higher, it is possible to find better offers.

The location is really good. The room was clean and rather modern.

Getting the access to the room was a bit strange. First I was instructed to ask at the associated restaurant. But there, I have been asked whether I receives a message via whatsapp, which I did few minutes later, providing very accurate information. There is no real "dining room". It should be called "shelf". There is no table that could be used as such (e.g. to use a computer). A bit annoying and really unusual, the person from the restaurant asked to take a picture of my passport. The check-out was at 10:30, which is really too early. The proximity of the restaurant might generate some noise during Summer time.

Nice host but uncomfortable room.

The host was very nice. He kept our bags prior to check in and showed us the apt and process for entry and departure. The room wasn't costly and the location was good. An electric fan, small refrigerator, and microwave were provided.

There was a constant dank odor in the bathroom despite an open window. The room was very warm with windows that opened only a little.

The studio is nice, good size, excellent localization. There is a small fridge, microwave, and kettle.

The bathroom drains were clogged. The room needs curtains. There were people screaming in the studio next door at dawn.

good location with a scary movie included

only the location

. the room was disappointing it really has a big potencial but they don’t spend enough money on it. the sheets looked dirty and the bed wasn’t comfortable. the worst thing was attic, it was creepy and I couldn’t sleep the 2 nights thinking about that creepy attic full of stuff. it looked like a scary movie. I recommend to bring your own towels and sheets for a better stay.

Jolly nice.

The location is excellent. The shower is large and effective. The bed was reasonably comfortable. TV, kettle, microwave and some plates and cutlery. Good storage. Nice people with a good restaurant downstairs.

Not totally hoovered, ie under bed. Microwave has no grill function so not really suitable for cooking. Communal areas could do with a better clean. Otherwise no problems

Convenient for the centre but could have been cleaner

The location was very good and convenient to get to the centre.

We asked for the earlier check in time five or six days before arrival. We received a reply by phone when we were on our way to the property. There was a thick layer of dust at the back of the bed. The door handle to the bathroom was not attached properly. It is the first time we have been asked to make sure we are using the property for pleasure and not for business although with a bar in the bedroom, a jacuzzi bath and a shower big enough for six people it was soon obvious why :). Very rushed check in. There was a mattress across the top of the stairs to prevent access above. The 'cupboard' behind the bar, was full of wires and a battery and had a door that was just propped up against it. Only one t-bag on the table and paper cups to drink out of.

So nice I stayed another night, in a different room.

Well designed with good double spray shower, tiled flooring throughout. Well ventilated, with interesting smoke glass mirror ceiling, plenty of power sockets, and good kitchenette facilities: microwave, kettle, refrigerator. Nice, friendly central location, very near the Cathedral and other historic buildings and institutions.

No cups or mugs for morning tea/coffee. Room lighting very bright, and no bedside lights.

It has a queen bed and big shower. Also included: microwave, minibar etc. The host was very friendly and helpfull. It was clean and great location in the center of the city. Easy to find a parking spot nearby.

One day we had a 'smell' in the bathroom. Just opened the window and the other days the smell was gone.

Do more research before booking

If you are young and do not have a car it would be fine

3 floors up and parking only available in another street, not good for us oldies, the question is rate Apartment Studio Tournai, it is NOT an apartment it is a room as you would get in any hotel. It say parking is available on site, there was NO parking on site the owner told me if I parked anywhere in the street I would get a ticket so guided me to another street telling me not to leave any valuables in the car, not a good start then 3 floors up no lift, no restaurant open the night we were there so my advice stay with a good hotel.
