Peaceful, spacious property with freindly host

Beautiful house, very spacious and quiet (our number one priority). Great hosts, generous breakfasts. We found it easily and check in was simple. There was even a bottle in the fridge.

Comfortable home with a lovely host.

The house was spacious & clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was a lovely terrace area that looked out onto fields & treelined canal. Lovely, comfortable beds & plenty of towels for the bathrooms. Pascale provided us with a great breakfast. Fresh bread, cheese, ham & yogurts. Some beers in the fridge were very much appreciated.

There was one small toilet downstairs. It would have been nice to have one in the main bathroom upstairs too.

Spacious property, clean, well equipped and the host was excellent. So friendly and helpful, we will definitely be coming back.

Finding it for the first time is a little difficult, but (obviously) that will not be a problem going forward....and that's about it...!!!

Great location and lovely house but house contents and host are equally chaotic.

The property is lovely and spacious in a lovely quiet rural setting. Easy access and the host kindly allowed us earlier access so we could leave out bikes securely before going to register for the Paris-Roubaix challenge. this is the perfect location to base for the Paris-Roubaix race and sportive. Host seems very jolly and friendly and well intended.

Payment was demanded to be by bank transfer (which we would have preferred) but details were sent only 48 hours before by which time we had left the UK and had ordered and brought the cash. I was owed 5 euros change which was never returned. Although breakfast was included it was somewhat random with items such as custard or ice cream brought rather than the usual items. Although Pascal seems friendly enough this place and her attention to it seems quite chaotic and underprepared. there was a broken oven dish left (by the previous occupants presumably) which remained in the kitchen for our whole stay despite the owner attending each day to bring breakfast (on the last day as we were leaving) and entered the house without warning. The kitchen was missing many basic items which made cooking difficult (A kettle, an oven tray or dish, a toaster, scissors). On arrival the kettle was missing and despite reporting this it was never rectified. These issues could have been easily rectified. The spa bath was being used as a storage cupboard and not useable.

I had a confirmed reservation since months before but sadly when I arrived they did not host me in this House. I lost some hours of a wedding I was attending nearby until I was offered a solution from the owners of the House who I found luckily in a bar close by as there was no one in the house when I arrived. They sent me to a house of a person they knew. Really weird experience.

The sewer smell from the toilet (which we encountered at a few other places in our 30 day travels) and the toilet on a different level than the bedrooms, shower and sink.

Exceptional

What a great place to stay for our first night in Belgium. Beautiful house and an amazing host. We arrived late after a long days’ ride to find the place inaccurately prepared. Pascale (host) even had left complementary coffee, tea, fresh pastries and beer for us! Honestly if you are staying in the area you won’t find anywhere better. Could not recommend this place more.

Mooi huis in een rustige omgeving. Niks tekort gehad. Ontbijt was voldoende.

Logement présentant des nuisances olfactives

Forte odeur de fosse septique dans le logement. L'odeur a persisté tout le séjour rendant la nuit compliquée et franchement désagréable. L'odeur était vraiment difficile à supporter. Cela a fortement entaché notre expérience. Par ailleurs, l'hôte nous avez demandé par écrit de libérer les lieux avant 12h15, car d’autres voyageurs étaient attendus, sans nous en parler au préalable. Alors qu'il était mentionné sur booking que nous pouvions rester jusque 15h. Et la propreté du logement laissait malheureusement à désirer. J’ai tenté de contacter l’hôte par téléphone ainsi que par mail, mais je n’ai malheureusement reçu aucune réponse. Il est regrettable que nous ayons dû faire face à une telle situation sans aucun retour ni accompagnement. Dans ces conditions, il me semble que le montant facturé n’est pas justifié, et un geste commercial aurait été apprécié en guise de considération pour les désagréments rencontrés.
