About this cottage rental

De Wolvenput is een landelijk gelegen, karaktervol en charmant ingericht vakantiehuis op het kruispunt van de Leiestreek, het Brugse Ommeland en de Vlaamse Ardennen, op amper 30 km van cultuursteden zoals Gent, Brugge en Kortrijk. Brussel en Antwerpen bereikt u binnen het uur.
Ver van alle drukte, is het een groen eiland aan het einde van een trage weg. De vakantiewoning is ingericht in de sfeer van weleer en biedt plaats aan max. 6 personen. Gezelligheid, rust en gastvrijheid zijn onze troeven.
Omringd door groene weiden is het tevens een ideale uitvalsbasis voor fietsers en wandelaars. Maar ook zakenlui zijn hier welkom om te genieten van de stilte.
Trakteer jezelf op rust en kom jezelf herbronnen op een plek waar het heerlijk vertoeven is!

1.De opgegeven huurprijs is voor 8 gasten per nacht. Voor families tot 4 personen wordt een aangepaste prijsofferte met reductie opgemaakt.

We just spent 4 days in this charming accommodation. Dirk was so helpful with everything and went out of his way to arrange internet connection to our tv so that we had some English options to watch. Beds and pillows nice and comfortable and Bruges only 3/4hr drive by car. Great to be able to watch our clothes and do our own cooking. We would definitely come back

Lovely welcome from Dirk and Anne when we arrived. The holiday home has been made to feel more like a real home where you can relax at the end of a long day. We can’t wait to return. The house is wonderful, perfectly looked after by its owners, cleaned and full of typical and original things. We could feel the passion and love of its owners, that live on the same building. Outside, the garden is so relaxing and perfectly cured. Mr Dirk, together with his wife, has been a very very kind and attentive host. Since the preparation phase he provided me with all the proper info via email or on phone line. We arrived very late in the evening, but he was there, waiting for us! During our journey he gave us many usefull advices. A very very kind person, a perfect representative of such a beautiful place!

We arrived a little early at the property, but our hosts were just super happy to welcome us to their property. The house was lovely and cosy especially at night where we went upstairs and watched tv on the couch. The house was situated in a lovely quiet part of town with lots of birds in the nearby lake. We only stayed 2 nights but would have really have loved to stay longer. We visited nearby Brugge, which was incredibly old and had some fantastic lace, beer and hot chocolate. Our host Dirk was extremely friendly and eager to help and even went so far to help us replace a damaged tyre on our car, first thing Monday morning within an hour , which allowed us to have our holiday without stressing.

We had a wonderful week here, with a mixture of sightseeing and relaxing. Dirk and Anne are wonderful hosts who have clearly put a great deal of consideration, time and effort into providing well-equipped and beautiful accommodation. They were also very helpful with tips about the area, parking and other practical information. We would love to go back!

Dirk and Anne could not have been more hospitable. From the welcome beverages to the customization of the home for the unique makeup of our party to so many thoughtful little touches around the home to excellent communication from start to finish to sharing some lovely conversations, we could not have felt more at home. This place is perfect in every sense, clean and tidy. Hospitable hosts love their home very much and put their whole soul and heart into it. And I must say, they do it excellently! To our great regret, we were able to catch only a two-day vacation there, but these days breathed into us spiritual strength and inner peace. The children also liked everything, the owner showed his eldest son his garden and apiary, and the youngest daughter enjoyed success with the hostess, went down the children's slide and rode on a swing. We liked the house and the people who hosted us so much that we didn’t even want to go anywhere to see the surrounding sights. We will definitely go back as soon as we get the chance!

We enjoyed our short stay at Dirk and Anne's beautiful country cottage very much. The communication ahead of our arrival was very good. Dirk welcomed us with a glass of wine and premium Belgian beer (adults only 🙂). There is plenty of information available about what to do and see in the neighborhood but Dirk was helpful giving us some extra pointers. The cottage is close enough to Brugge for a nice day trip but far enough away to be able to get away from the hustle and enjoy some peace and quiet. We highly recommend this place. Belgian hospitality at it's best.

Delightful short stay

Dirk and Anne have created a truly delightful countryside experience. We were in need of a relaxing and uplifting place close to nature for a short break and small family reunion as we are about to move to the other side of the world. Wolvenput fit the bill perfectly. Everybody thoroughly appreciated . The farmhouse style kitchen had everything we needed as we like to cook, and we enjoyed sitting around the wooden dining table eating, drinking and talking. And when the weather was warm we retreated to the back porch. The décor in the house made for a very interesting stay. Always something to discover! My mother especially enjoyed that. Dirk and Anne were splendid hosts. Attentive and friendly and at the same time respectful of freedom and privacy. My 3 year old son Magnus thoroughly enjoyed the garden and the pond with all the frogs. My wife and mother are avid gardeners and they were not disappointed. So many beautiful flowers and plants to enjoy, The other great thing about this place is that it is far away from busy roads. No cars to worry about with kids. Thank you Dirk and Anne!

We had an excellent stay here - made all the better by the wonderful welcome by the owner of this property who was always on hand to help and make our stay all the more memorable. Great place for children (indoor and outdoor toys) with lots of activities close by (berry picking, playgrounds, walks etc). The house is a mixture of old world charm and modern amenities nestled in amongst the fields of West Flanders. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at Dirk and Anne's place for a 4 day weekend. It was great!!! They are the perfect hosts. Dirk is very informed about the area and it's history and has many suggestions for interesting visits. The house is very well equipped. Everything you need for food preparation, comfortable beds, quiet, and beautiful surroundings, many bike and walking trails nearby, a great place for kids. We have stayed in many types of accommodations, and this place certainly ranks among the best. The interesting and thoughtfully decorated interior, the great location and last but not least the warm welcome of owners Dirk and Anne, made this short stay one to remember. We hope to return soon. Quiet Country Stay At De Wolvenput

Dirk and Anne have a lovely place in rural Belgium. They graciously greeted us and checked us in to the cottage. We were wondering why there were not really any reviews on VRBO/Homeaway but they have only been using the site for a couple of months. They have been using other sites for a few years so don't let that concern you. De Wolvenput is a wonderful stay. Definitely for a coiple of famlies. They provide several games for children. Each room consists of the ground floor with the double bed and a mezzanine for children or others to sleep. This was definitely what we needed in between Amsterdam and Paris. Bruges and Ghent are quick drives from there. Brussels is a little longer. Harley-Davidson West Flanders is only 25 minutes away in Roselare. They may rent bikes. Would be a great way to view the Flanders region. For bicyclists, this would be a wonderful base from which to ride. Saint Sixtus Abbey of Westvleteren is about an hour away if you wish to get the famed Westy 12. De Wolvenput has everything you need and I would stay here again and again. Hopefully soon and for longer.

Heerlijk knus huisje

We hebben een heerlijke midweek gehad bij Dirk en Anne, een warm welkom met koffie en verse appelsap. Het huisje is piekfijn in orde, schoon, compleet, mooi afgewerkt. Alles wat je echt nodig hebt is aanwezig. Ook voor de kinderen wordt overal aan gedacht, er zijn speelgoed, spelletjes en een fijne kindvriendelijke tuin. Wij willen zeker nog eens terugkomen!
