We loved the gite!

good price for location - all in all a very pleasant stay

The instructions were clear about the parking. Collection of keys was very easy. Spacious and comfortable. Breakfast delivery at 6am was pleasant with fresh baked goods and savoury goods for my dietary requirements.

The stairs are hard if you have loads of luggage as there is no lift and our apartment was second floor. Local guidance on road closures would have got us there quicker.

Good honest hospitality

Perfect apartment in a great location and all the facilities you need for a nice weekend away. We really enjoyed the breakfast and drinks on offer too, this place does good honest hospitality that is lacking everywhere else. The free bikes were a great bonus that helped us explore this beautiful town and we managed to get a free carpark right infront of the apartment for the entire weekend. The beds are comfortable, shower is powerful and a separate toilet made the world of difference.

The blinds are offset from the windows and fhe streetlights are quite bright so there is a bit of light coming through even at night. The apartment is also in town so some street noise is to be expected but not that bad.

Wonderful apartment in a great location with really thoughtful owners 🙂

We only stayed one night but we loved this apartment. Communication from the hosts was great, instructions were clear and we had no problem finding it and getting into the property. We found a parking space right outside which was not difficult and parking was really cheap. There was milk and juice in the fridge when we arrived plus a choice of tea and coffee and a dolce gusto coffee machine. We didn't take advantage of it but the breakfast vouchers included are very generous and a really lovely touch. The apartment has air-con which worked great, the beds were comfy and the shower is really powerful and there was plenty of hot water. Am only a bit sad we didn't stay longer! Tournai is a lovely place and we found everyone to be exceptionally friendly.

There is nothing that could be better from our side, we managed with the stairs to the 2nd floor as our case wasn't too heavy but just be aware of it if you are not too mobile or have really heavy luggage.

Great little gite

Great location. Comfortable bed. Easy paid parking on road outside. Communicative hosts. Great breakfast of delicious, fresh pastries from the local boulangerie. Would be first choice of place to stay if visiting Tournai again.

Small bedroom - not enough space to put any bags on floor so need to unpack into wardrobe or put bags in main living area. I would say that due to size this is not suitable for 4 adults, but could accommodate 4 in the same family. Due to (fantastic) location, it’s a bit noisy at night. Could do with investing in some new towels, and restocking crockery - mugs, glasses, etc have probably diminished due to breakages and not been replaced.

Well-equipped, comfortable apartment in a very convenient location.

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very conveniently located between the station and the centre. Everything could be reached easily by foot. Hosts were quick to respond to messages.

We liked everything, however the listing mentioned a washing machine which we didn’t see.

Highly Recommended!

Really nice and spacious and they provided a cot for my baby. It was great! The location is central and they even give coupons for free pastries at a really nice bakery. We had a nice time.

Chilled stay in a great apartment in a beautiful location

Perfect location in terms of access to the centre of Tournai, everything on your doorstep virtually. The apartment was clean, comfortable and roomy. There was an information booklet & leaflets on the local area. We mostly had everything we needed but unfortunately we had no electricity on the first night and very loud music in the apartment upstairs, also on the same night! Tea/coffee/juice was provided, together with vouchers for the local bakery (though bakery was always busy). I don't think we would have met Cedric and Stephanie ordinarily, but due to the problems experienced in Friday night, we did meet them and they were lovely and did their best to minimise the inconvenience. Thankfully, once resolved we didn't have any more issues.

Arriving back to the apartment on the first night & not having any electricity was a challenge. Thankfully it was not the whole building & just our apartment, and as the windows are large, the street light helped a little. We only had charge on one phone, so had to use that as necessary. Unfortunately, the fusebox was short circuiting & we could not get through to Cedric and Stephanie to seek help....so it was a long & very uncomfortable night, with little or no sleep. Added to that, the guests in the room above were both happily playing & singing so loudly, that any chance of one of us dozing was gone. Once Cedric and Stephanie picked up my messages the next morning they were wonderful, but it was worrying not being able to reach them, as we had no other contact numbers except for the emergency services! Stephanie did reassure me that this was the first time anything like this had happened and her notifications on her phone had been off inadvertently, so would ensure it wouldn't happen again. Once they were with us, they made all necessary checks and had an electrician around as quickly as they could. By lunchtime it was resolved and Stephanie came back to check that we were both okay & offered her sincere apologies together with a gift of chocolates & cards.

Aangenaam verblijf in historisch Tournai

Uitstekende locatie, op loopafstand van het station en pal aan de Schelde, met uitzicht op de fraaie kathedraal. Smaakvolle inrichting, prima bed en fijne douche met krachtige warme straal. Voor het ontbijt kregen we bonnetjes om heerlijk verse broodjes af te halen bij een bakkerij ietsje verderop in de straat. Koffie of thee konden we zelf zetten. Melk, jus d'orange en appelsap naar gelieven beschibaar in de koelkast. Het verblijf in deze prettige gite heeft zeker positief bijgedragen aan ons aangename midweekje in de historische stad Doornik.

De trappen naar het appartement (tweede etage) waren een beetje steil; de treden waren smal. Je zag je genoodzaakt je voet bijna horizontaal op de treden te zetten.

Gezellig appartement op toplocatie

- Super locatie! Vlakbij gezellig centrum. - Elke dag mogelijkheid tot ontbijt aan de deur of met coupons naar de bakker. - handige keuken - gezellig ingericht - meestal parkeerplaats in de buurt (gratis op zaterdagnamiddag en zondag) - heel makkelijk om binnen te geraken (via code en sleutelkluisje).

Perfection

Tout etait parfait du debut a la fin. Une gentillesse incomparable. Nous avons pu rester un peu plus longtemps sans supplement pour attendre notre train. Enorme petit dejeuner, il ne manquait rien. . Un grand merci, nous reviendrons aux beaux jours.

L’emplacement était super, au cœur de Tournai, avec un parking gratuit le samedi après-midi et dimanche gratuit juste en bas de l’immeuble.

Super miejsce jako baza wypadowa do zwiedzania pogranicza francusko-belgijskiego i Belgii

Lokal wyglądał dużo lepiej niż na Bookingu. Super śniadania w formie bonów do bardzo bliskiej piekarni, spory sklep za rogiem. Dobre wyposażenie. Rzut beretem na Starówkę, bezpłatne parkowanie pod mieszkaniem od 17.00 do 09.00.

Trochę głośno w nocy jak to w centrum, przez co trudno było spać z otwartym oknem. Zaskoczeniem było to, że pralka była w piwnicy i trzeba było opróżniać ją po obsłudze aby móc skorzystać.

Très bonne adresse à retenir.

J'ai apprécié le système de digicode pour nous permettre d'arriver à l'heure souhaité sans être stressé sur la route. Nous n'avons pas vu nos hôtes, mais ils étaient très réactifs par message. La literie était prête à notre arrivée. La climatisation est très appréciable si le temps est chaud. L'endroit est spacieux pour 4 personnes sans se sentir à l'étroit. Nous y reviendrons volontiers!

Ce serait bien d'installer des rideaux voilés en plus des stores actuels, de façon à ce que l'on puisse voir dans la rue sans être vu en journée tout en laissant pénétrer la lumière dans les lieux de vie. Il y a des stores, mais lorsque qu'on les abaisse, il n'y a plus de visibilité vers l'extérieur.

Bell’appartamento con tutto il necessario. Host preciso e dettagliato con le indicazioni del soggiorno. Ottima la soluzione proposta di colazione: il frigorifero pieno di succhi e bevande calde in quantità, più talloncini gratuiti per il panificio dove scegliere ottime brioches. Parcheggio davanti alla struttura a pagamento ma solo dalle 9 alle 17 di sera, in ogni caso pieno di altre vie nei dintorni dove parcheggiare. Finestre insonorizzate, non si sentiva nulla fuori.

Super w-e au centre ville de tournai

L'appartement est situé en plein centre de tournai. Il est facilement accessible (gare proche et nombreux parkings). Grâce au code de la porte nous avons facilement pu aller et venir sans clées. Le gite est au deuxième étage, l'arrivée avec les valises est sportif mais ce n'est qu'une fois ;-) Nous avons apprécié la déco sobre, l'équipement, la propreté, le confort du lit, ... Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Le petit déj est également top. Merci pour tout.

Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und wurde pünktlich geliefert ... die Lage ist perfekt ... Bett war bequem ... sehr sauber ... unkomplizierter Empfang und Dienstleistungen ... Shopping für Alltägliches gleich um die Ecke

Treppen sind SEHR eng und unbequem wenn man mit Koffern reist Die Klimaanlage ist etwas ineffizient für den Schlafraum, da sie in die falsche Richtung bläst Die Badetücher sollte man lieber aufgefaltet hinlegen, anstatt sie aufzuhängen

Bonito apartamento en el corazon de Tournai

La ubicación es perfecta a unos pasos de la Grand place y la estación de trenes. Alojamiento cómodo y tranquilo.

Falta de toallas de baño (solo 1 por persona y bastante pequeñas) y jabón de ducha (hemos tenido que comprar). Viajamos con maleta de mano y no podíamos llevar en la maleta.

Nous avons profité des croissants et petits pains au chocolat offerts et disponibles à la boulangerie située à deux pas. L'appartement était super équipé, il ne manquait absolument rien. De plus l'emplacement est idéal et le parking à rue a été aisé.

On peut toujours trouver mieux, mais là, ça me semble difficile.
