Villa Nirvana

The team really helped me feel welcome and safe.very attentive, friendly and around to guide me or offer help or service. I really enjoyed that the villa is located close enough but still a bit away from the buzz and the busy streets but still in an area with a vibe. The surrounding areas are beautiful and there are heaps of restaurants, massage places, shopping and a big grocery store available within a 15 min walk.

The breakfast was somewhat limited in choices but still enjoyed a tasty fruit platter in the morning.

Our stay at Vila Nirvana was memorable. The spacious private villa with its own pool offered a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. The garden shrine added a touch of Balinese culture, while the open-air bathroom enhanced the exotic experience. The staff went above and beyond for my wife's birthday, collaborating with me on a surprise celebration, decorating the bed, and providing a complimentary birthday cake with candles - a gesture that made our stay extra special. We loved having breakfast served in our villa and appreciated the golf cart service to navigate the car-free zone. Overall, waking up to our beautiful private pool each morning brightened our entire Ubud experience!

Very quiet and nice place

Having a private pool and day bed was lovely and the pool size was good for the price we paid. It was nice to have the option of sitting and eating breakfast (or room service) outside at the villa. It was also helpful having a large fridge in the kitchen area and plenty of water provided daily and nightly mozzie coils. The staff were mostly friendly and tried to help when we raised concerns. I liked the feel of being in nature - for me, geckos, snails and chipmonks are a welcome part of Bali however not for everyone. Also the outdoor bathroom is not for everyone but I enjoyed it.

The property is very much in need of some maintenance and cleaning. We stayed for a week and after the first couple of days we noticed a significant decrease in the standard of cleaning and breakfast was undercooked (and on one occasion we found a hair) and orders incorrect (chicken on a vegetarian dish). Unfortunately the area is much more congested these days and the once quiet paths are full of motorbikes/scooters and there was a lot of noisy construction nearby. The villas themselves are close to each other and we could see into others from certain points, so it was lacking privacy (also very close to neighbouring properties.) I definitely would not consider them luxury villas which is what is stated on their website. If you are looking for a modern villa with the associated amenities i would avoid this place. If you dont mind run down and dated, then this is fine for the price you pay.
