It is a very nice place. I would stay here if I have an opportunity to come back Grindelwald.

Very good breakfast with wide ranges of food. The view for breakfast is so wonderful.

The hostel should inform us that the final bus to the hostel will be at 6.30pm.

Overall nice stay ...the view and food was amazing. One can really enjoy the atmosphere.

It was a nice room and the view of the north face from the room was really nice. Met some nice people in the room whom I had good interaction with.

The room is located at a very high altitude. With my luggage I had to trek that distance. May be a better communication on the route provided would have done better. Lifts are also missing may be u can attach one to shift luggage.

Beautiful hostel with all the comforts of home.

This hostel was very clean and beautifully kept. The facilities were very nice with lots of areas to hang out.

Really, no complaints. The location was maybe a little inconvenient, but not too bad. The bus stop was just down the street so it was really easy to get to town and back, or a 20 min walk.

The view was awesome.great staff working till 9pm. They have a canteen providing affordable food. Have laundry. Luggage storage. Clean. Great breakky.

Location. Its high up on the hills and the bus going there finishes really early like before 7pm. We worked up with our backpacks and luggage it was agonizing... Don't recommend to anyone. But getting a taxi up is 35chf... The food They provide was affordable But a bit horrible...

I wont be back.

The location

I was double charged city tax, even though I was able to show my booking reservation confirmation that city tax was already included in the price paid. Instead of accepting this written statement and taking the issue up with booking.com the reception staff refused to accept this and told me to pay and that I should take it up with booking.com. This is not acceptable. My reservation is a contract between myself and their booking agent. They should be willing to help customers rather than to completely ignore written facts. On top of that the lady in the kitchen was very stern and unhelpful to all of my party.

Not worth the price, stay elsewhere.

Not much.

The beds were uncomfortable and the bedding was dirty. Staff were rude and reception was never open. £3.50 for a mug of hot water is ridiculous. The location is terrible being up a very steep bank and so far from town with a bus service that ends at 6pm so impossible to go into town at night and the games room and tv at the hotel don’t work so there is nothing else to do. Pay more and stay in town.

A gorgeous hostel with lovely views and clean facilities, but a bit expensive for not having a kitchen ot prepare meals.

The views from the hostel are amazing, and they have an exceptional outside area where you can eat, read, have a bonfire/BBQ, lay in the grass amongst blooming flowers or fill up your water bottle.

The hostel doesn’t have a kitchen for cooking meals, which should be reflective of the price but isn’t necessarily. Quite an expensive place to stay and also have to buy lunch + dinner on the go or eat out.

Grindelwald Youth Hostel exceeded my expectations

The room was very spacious, and the balcony offered a direct and stunning view of the mountains. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of choices, perfect to start the day. The hostel also provided amenities like a water heater and a microwave, which were very convenient. There were plenty of bathrooms available, making it easy and comfortable even during busy hours. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Grindelwald.

One thing to note about Grindelwald Youth Hostel is that the location is quite a distance from the train station. Bus service to the hostel is limited and only available until 6:44 PM. After that time, you would need to walk to reach the hostel. It's something to consider if you are arriving late or carrying heavy luggage.

Overall, nice place to stay in Grindelwald.

All the facilities were clean- common area, dining, room. The staff were friendly. The toiletries are provided. The view from the room was amazing. Breakfast is included. The location was just 3-4min walk from the bus stop.

No kettle in the room. The building of the rooms is separate from the building where the reception and kitchen are (but no big deal).

Totally Worth the money ! Amazing location.

The location was amazing, at the top of the hill with unobstructed view of the mountain peaks. Easy to reach by bus or on foot, atleast while coming down as it is uphill. Cleanliness, facilities and comfort was on point. Food was also good and a reasonable price as compared to the restaurants in the city.

The hot tub needs to be booked one day in advance. You cannot book the hot tub in the morning to use in the evening the same day.

The breakfast was quite good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The view of the rooms are really amazing which comes with the price of walking up a steep hill. Although they offer you free bus tickets for your stay which is really nice.

There was no charger socket near the beds. The wifi was quite slow. They only provide towels for a cost. Also, I didn't find any hair dryer.

Comfortable hostel at attractive price

It was very clean everywhere, all is perfect for such small price. Dishes are delicious and healthy, great choice at breakfast which is included in price of booking of room. It's very ecological friendly hostel. You just have all that you need to have a comfortable trip plus a very beautiful views from all the hostel.
