nice place

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, interesting location with a view of the river. And there is a nice park near for running. + We had a cute cat neighbor 😊

The railing at one of the bridges is broken. Once in wet weather I slipped and fell because there was nothing to grab onto. I hope this will be fixed soon.

Amazing nature, Affordable accommodation

It wasn’t bad for a hostel stay. The room and the bed were clean. The staff member was very helpful and informative. The location was great — staying right above the Danube River was an amazing experience. After passing through a large park area, you reach the hotel; the morning air, nature, the river, and the trees were beautiful. Breakfast was decent. We met the owner, and he was attentive.

The only thing that bothered me was that they charged their regular nightly rate instead of the price I confirmed on Booking. I noticed it in the morning, and when I mentioned it, they said they didn’t know why it happened and that nothing could be done at that moment, and I would need to resolve it with Booking. It wasn’t a big issue for me, so I didn’t pursue it, but pay attention during check-in so it doesn’t slip by. Before arriving, make sure to ask for the parking location information. I parked somewhere based on a guess and later had to move the car; it was a bit of a walk. The bathroom was small, it was difficult to hang things, and the drainage was a bit problematic.

Cheap but comfortable short-time stay

Nice location right next to the river. Food was tasty (all you can eat) and nice rooms with a terrace.

The only thing lacking was the shower, it’s right in the bathroom in the middle of the and it’s kind of impossible to not make a mess (no shower courtship, just shower head and wooden planks in the floor between toilet and sink)

cool hostel cool place

Very cool hostel, not the first time here. Day one was very hot, nearly 40 degrees, but at night the temperature was OK. All rooms got brand new air conditioning! The location is nice, at the river. To walk into the old down it will take maybe 20 minutes? Near the hostel I found multiple pizza places, google for pizza with maps in that area (I was Di Napoli and Pizza Bar). The hostel offers different IPA - I tried them all.

Best place in Belgrade to relax with the downtown so close.

Beautiful dock to sit and enjoy. Breakfast was good. Was a very enjoyable, but unfortunately short, stay. Hope to back soon.

It’s not very close to downtown (relative to the size of the city but taxi wasn’t expensive), but honestly was so relaxing. We were exhausted but loved staying up til 4 am just enjoying the river and seeing the fortress lit up.

Amazing location but tired room

The staff is very friendly. Unusual hotel concept. Amazing location on the Danube river in big green park, close to shopping mall and Old City, Fortress(we go there on foot with kids, approximately 25-30 min).

The room is tired, it would be nice to freshen it up. The room is very small for 4 people. The bathroom is small, there is no storage space, hooks.

It's a nice hostel, nice to park if you like walking, or running for instance. Close to the bus stop, restaurants.

No transport takes you directly there, you must walk a bit through a park.

Not for those who want a good night's sleep

Location, the concept of sleeping on a boat and being close to nature, polite service, delicious breakfast

I would have love to give a higher rating, and after the first night I probably would have, but on the second night a group of people organized a party in the shared area on the lower deck of the boat and were very loud. Due to the shouting and the boat shakes we were unable to sleep. The party went on for a long time, and even around 4 am there was still shouting. I don't understand why, since the reception is supposed to be open 24/7, none of the staff intervened to ensure the comfort of the guests. It's a pity, because the place is truly charming.

Great quiet place in a peaceful location

A cool quiet hostel with extremely nice and friendly staff (and a cat who sometimes sits in the common area <3 ). They will help with any doubts or questions regarding the place or visiting Belgrade. Good breakfast with a few options in a form of buffet. Wifi works well. The location, apart from being in a peaceful park at the water, is close to the old city center - there are 2 frequent public buses with a nearby bus stop (closer than the parking) or 30mins walking across Brankov bridge - which is worth do to at least once for the views.

Arka Barka it's "a kind of magic", the best accomodation you can get in Belgrade.

Arka Barka is my spot in Belgrade. The most picturesque and incredible place. Breakfast on the terrace watching the sunrise on the Danube. Magic. Fabulous vibe, wonderful friendly staff.

Superb

Staff were super friendly, great coffee, comfortable room and the location is awesome. 10 mins walk to the shopping center, 20 mins walk to the main bus and train station and there is a tram station pretty much right outside! Being in the park there is no noise and the hostel is overall one of the best I've stayed at in the Balkans! I will be back!

Everything was really clean but the shower curtains need to be taken down and washed as there was mould on the bottom of them for about 6cm up the curtain.

Good experiences with some negative sides

Idea is perfect, floating hostel. It feels good, view from the room is very good experience. Especially in the morning after breakfast front side of hostel looking perfect to drink your morning coffee.

Rooms are not perfectly clean. Some sides are dirty, wall has dirts. Also price is high for these facilities. Only you pay for the view and hospitality.

The staff and the breakfast were great. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately the room was too small for 5 people, there were no wardrobes or hangers to put our clothes. The room was indeed tiny. When we were all in the room, there was no space to step.
