Hotel Goldener Schlüssel

Great location and offsite parking was close. Breakfast was good and the room was spacious. We were provided with a fan which was thoughtful given that the weather is so hot.

Room decor was somber and the lighting was dim.

Good breakfast, nice staff, clean rooms. Hotel parking was unavailable but they had perfect solution in close garage house.

No major issues.

all good, very nice place. It is in the center of the city and close to all facilities. Rooms are clean and staff super. Only missing thing is air conditioning :-D like most of the Swiss hotel anyway.

My only complain is related to air conditioning in summer. It is really hot these days. So haveing just a fan could be not so good for someone. I just leave the windows open and during night it is refreshing.

Dont expect anything you won t be disapointed. The room is clean, old fashioned like usual in this part of the world.unless for chain hotels which are like all over the world Bed is ok breakfast basic but ok,very nice cheese , friendly lady bathroom spotless .and very good towels Impossible to pay cash my card had been debited before arrival.and no one at reception at 9 or 10 am. Had asked for room away from the elevator, got one right next to elevator so went to change the key and in the process reception forgot to give me the key to the outside door, So had to wait for a kind man to let us in. it ruined our night of course Strangely enough the restaurant right next door did not know the hotels number nor could they get in touch with him. My European phones did not get a signal here so could not call the emergency number and the restaurant nextdoor refused to help You d think in such a small place they all know each other. Restaurant was closed but didn t offer any thing special anyway but that may be just the way overhere since the restaurant nextdoor also closed kitchen at 830, although advertised 23 and only offered fried chicken after explaining we hadn t had food all day. At least they fed us. My best advice is eat Mac Donalds like 20 minutes before , i don t like fast food, but it won t be far off the quality you get here and half the price . I m not stingy and I know Swiss prices are high but I don t like to spend for nothing. We paid about 100 Euro per room so in the end it s ok but it s certainly not worth any thing more. Free parking

1 room had heating if you were tall enough to reach it , at least be 1.80m or bring a ladder.The other one did not have heating and it was very cold. The bedcover was very short. No water cooker, tiniest bottle of soap I ve ever seen Wifi was very insufficient. Luckily i had rented a device at the airport or we would have had only wifi up till 2200 then in seemed to shut of or was that a coincidence, or did someone else also go on wifi Anyway very unreliable
