Fronalpstock Hotel & Restaurant

We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast and the dinner exceeded our expectations. We had a table with an amazing view and the meals were delicious. The sound of the cow bells, the baby goats and the incredible ridge hike were memorable.

Incredible location. Sunset and sunrise are really special here and it is so peaceful in the evening/ early morning. Great breakfast. I hiked the ridge but, to be honest, if I went again I would simply hike up to Fronalpstock and chairlift down in the morning.

I don’t know how to tell when you’re booking, but there are definitely rooms with ‘better’ views than others. ‘Lake views’ doesn’t necessarily mean the lakes you’re thinking of as there are others in the distance. The ‘terrace’ is a shared space outside the rooms so you don’t have a private terrace as such. I think dinner could easily be better organised - a chalkboard menu of the options for the night would have made the process easier for staff and guests. Another review mentioned no cups in the room and that is another easy fix.

Awesome views

Not enough food options at dinner and breakfast for vegans and vegetarians. Costly room, had to pay extra for chairlift to get there. Young staff not as attentive to details (no lounge chairs in my room - even though every room had one).

Location location location! Simply stunning views from our room made this a unique experience - incredible!

Nothing worth worrying about - just look at the view!
