A relaxed stay in a beautiful, snowy setting with excellent spa facilities
The spa was really relaxing and had good facilities (we particularly enjoyed the selection of soft drinks at the spa). The room was very impressive and had a cosy, warm feel; the heated floor in the bathroom was a bonus! The staff were helpful and gave excellent tips about the local area. There were lots of food choices and the food was beautifully presented. The hotel is in an excellent location right by a ski area.
Whilst the food was upmarket and was served to us, the atmosphere felt more casual and each course was served immediately after the previous one (perhaps taking more time would create a more relaxed setting).

The staff were so accommodating- I am vegan and they tailored all meals to suit with no fuss. The room with the mountain view was stunning and the location was perfect for a walking holiday (August/Sept). I contacted the hotel beforehand explaining it was our honeymoon and they set up some fizz in our room for arrival which was fab! The spa and pool was an added bonus- it was very quiet when we stayed and we had the saunas (4 different sauna/steams to choose from!!) And pool to ourself ever time we went. We also booked massages which were fantastic after a long hike! The hotel has maps and even guided walking tours locally, and we saw that there was a bus stop at the end of the driveway if youre relying on public transport.
The only small niggle was that the room wasn't sound proof at all- we could hear the couple next door having conversations very clearly- we didn't mention this to the hotel as we were checking out the following day.
