The location near to the Thames is lovely and an easy walk into Marlow.

There were brown stains up the curtain, the kettle lid was broken and the tap in the bathroom leaking. We were woken at 6.30 by I think the cleaner - cleaning every room around us and banging all the doors. The walls shook every time they did it. Breakfast was limited on this visit and finishes at nine. I reported the issues to reception upon leaving who said they would look into it. Might have been nice to have been offered discount on a return visit or a reduction in the rate. This is such a great venue but felt a bit unloved this time round.

Nice rooms in a specialised sports facility. Pretty location

Outstanding gym on site. Pleasantly surprised by the rooms. The breakfast was very nice - a selection of cold and hot breakfasts (eg cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, sausages etc) plus non-dairy milks and vegan sausages available. There’s a café on site for snacks or meals at other times. Parking available as well.

Nothing! We walked there as part of a long distance walk. As there were two of us, we were happy to walk to Marlow for dinner however I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking alone down a quiet country road. Limited public transport. Obviously not an issue if you drive.

Basic but great for the price and in a pituresque location

Great location, sporting history was interesting, reasonably clean rooms although basic but great price!

Rooms were a little tired but understandably the rooms are well used. Our bin had not been emptied in our room so maybe cleaners need to check that they have cleaned everything before new guests arrive. Breakfast okay….have had worse but what we had was perfectly acceptable. It was canteen like but it is a sports venue so did not expect a luxury experience considering the great price we paid!

Good value, especially as it included breakfast and use of Sauna and Steam Room. Handy for accessing the Thames Path. I went with my mum who is a wheelchair user and it was perfect, plenty of space in the room and bathroom for the chair and also in the restaurant at breakfast.

It’s not quite hotel standard and that reflected in the price… that said it was great and I’ll certainly go back.

Quiet and convenient. The receptionist was very helpful and organised a breakfast bag for us as we were leaving before breakfast started.

Room and overall venue was very clean

Paid extra fee for early check in but room assigned was for disabled use which meant everything was at a low level and not very comfortable for us. Weren't told this when checking in but unfortunately didn't have time to go back to Reception to ask for another room. No tea/coffee/milk/biscuits left in room so had to go on the hunt for some. No housekeeping staff around so found some in another room in process of being cleaned (although no biscuits).

Perfect stay

It was perfect for our visit to Henley ! Set in beautiful grounds, on the banks of the Thames, with the Abbey taking pride of place. The rooms were spacious and clean, with everything you need and the breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choices.

Arriving very late at night (I had mentioned this on the booking), it was very difficult to find. Once I arrived at Bisham Abbey the signage is very poor so it took me a long time to find Accommodation. Once I did, reception help had left for the night leaving a phone number. Thankfully I found the duty manager who was able to check me in. I would hesitate to recommend this to people arriving at night as it's easy to get lost.
