Big Brand Poor People at this branch

The hotel is very unresponsive. I have been using this hotel for all my business trip. Eventhough they are not the cheapest, I used them because I believed in the brand. But staff and manager in this branch are letthing this brand down.

Managers and staff are rude and unresponsive.

Much merriment in Marlow!

The hotel was very well appointed,with an excellent restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely meal on the Saturday night. Set in a picturesque lakeside setting which we took advantage of due to the good weather. Our room was very comfortable and the staff were excellent - very friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them. I liked the hotel so much that I have booked my company's Spring sales meeting there!

Everything was good. No complaints,although the hotel is set outside of the town & you will need either a taxi or a 20-30 minute walk to get into Marlow

fabulous and we will be coming back again

Dinesh and The French Guy(apologies but can not remember his name), both on the reception desk were exceptional. DInesh sorted us very efficiently and effectively. The french Guy provided some "Places to visit" info and was helpful.

The Only item - I asked for some Bubblebath or bath salts - to be able to use in the hotel room as we had forgotten ours. Not a problem but would have been nice to get some of that (I would have paid for it). The bar was understaffed therefore took a while but the team were very friendly and efficient when they got to us.

Very disappointing. I will think twice before booking with IHG

The breakfast

The staff of the front desk were terrible. I was charged twice for my stay and then the staff proceeded to argue that it was my fault. Despite being told to pay by the member of staff at check in. I then raised the issue upon checkout and the team member proceeded to treat me like I was in the wrong. I now have £250 being held and not released. The air on in the room did not work and the soap pump in the shower not working.

Room was ok, clean and comfortable however not worth £165 a night (room only) however,

My wife is disabled and benefits from having water treatments - however the jacuzzi was cold and of no use! Odd that we had to book a 'spot' for our child to swim when the pool was virtually empty No hand/body wash or shampoo provided in the bath area and any that were provided inside the shower were fixed to the wall - when we asked reception they said "take it in your hand and use it in the bath"

Not family friendly I had to pay extras for my children dinner even though I already paid half board for the family. Also dinner was not covered in the bar which was never mentioned until check out.

Incompetent duty manager

Nothing

The duty manager was unable to check me in as the systems of the hotel were corrupted. He confirmed a refund would be offered because he could not check me in and so I proceeded to book a taxi home. He is now lying about the refund offer and I am being charged full price for a hotel that could not even check me in!!! Appalling customer service from the hotel - avoid at all costs. Cheap and not reliable.

Disappointing.

The pool was pleasant but the badly behaved guests in the jacuzzi ruined the atmosphere.

The breakfast was simply awful. I should have guessed from the dreadful plastic Painters palate "flowers" - placed in water (?!?) on each table that it would be bad - but cheap nasty components and utterly tasteless ingredients cannot be forgiven. Please consider investing in some decent quality coffee, salmon, bread, bacon and mushrooms - along with some orange juice that has seen some oranges at some point in the past.

Great place, great stay.

Had a great stay. The room was large and very comfortable. (Had asked for a quiet room and it was!) Pool arrangements were good. Breakfast was excellent, even on a busy Saturday morning. The grounds, especially the green heading to the lake were very picturesque, especially with the late evening rabbits!

Very clean. Nice Sauna, steam room, and a 20 meter indoor heated swimming pool.

The traffic noise from the nearby highway is quite loud when you're outside in the front lawn area. But indoors, the soundproofing is good and quiet.

Nice hotel but overcrowded

The hotel facilities were good. The bar and restaurant areas were well kept and clean. The lake, lawn and playground great for kids. There is also a swimming pool but we didn’t get to use it.

It was bank holiday weekend and there was a wedding on. Because of this we couldn’t book into the restaurant, there was no service at the bar and some of the staff were rude. A lot of the communal spaces were overcrowded and we didn’t want to use the pool because of this.

Friendly, extremely comfortable hotel with all the amenities one needs.

Room was spacious and well serviced. Bathroom had both walk in shower and bath and plenty of shelf space. Good air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent. Staff welcomed you and were helpful.

No drop off point near the main door - the No Parking signs were a bit off putting. It wasn’t that clear where one ordered and sat for the “all day menu”. Above were so minor versus all the positives.

Front-of-house service was excellent

The breakfast could have been a lot better. It was meant to be until 11 am; however, before 11 am, there were no cups, no pastries, and I overheard another guest asking for pastries and was quite abruptly told, "We don't have any." The coffee machines didn't work, and the area around it was very messy.

The gentleman that checked us in was really professional & friendly. Room we stayed in was excellent and I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice

The hot water at breakfast was in silver jugs with lids which in my opinion would certainly raise concerns for a health & safety officer. The jugs with hot water are too hot to hold the handle & pour, the handles are close to the opening so when trying to pour the water into a cup/mug the steam scolds your hands. I overheard many people mention this at breakfast. It would be safer & more efficient to have a machine that you put the cup under and press a button. I feel if you continue using the jugs then it is just a matter of time before someone drops one & therefore hot water going everywhere including on them (this nearly happened but it was just the quick thinking of the lady's partner stopping her from dropping it)

Very comfortable room. Felt spacious. Good breakfast choice and tasty.

Some bathroom fixings were in need of replacing (corroding pipe connecting to shower) and minor, but noticeable, mold spots in the corners of the shower.
