Excellent location and staff. Free parking and lovely views.

Breakfast. Only full English included in the price. £6 extra for anything else including smaller options such as avocado on toast or scrambled. Plus £4 surcharge fro a latte or cappuccino. These surcharges are irritating and unreasonable when paying £200/night. You either include breakfast or you don’t.

Poorly maintained- rotten window cills and bad exterior decoration.The mattress was uncomfortable due to age - meaning that your body rolled into the centre. Hot tap merely dribbled

Very outdated room, really expensive in the bar and food was awful. £20 for breakfast and i sent it back, it was slop, the buffet was no better either, all i had was a coffee. Sindhu restaurant wasn’t amazing either, i have had a better takeaway at home.

Hotel very tired inside and out , not worth the money!

We didn’t have breakfast . We checked out app 2 hrs after check in.

The room we were given was at the very top of the property. As you climbed the number of different staircases the decor there in decreased in quality.on our floor a large hole in the wall the size of tennis ball had been roughly filled and never rubbed down and painted. The room we were given was so tired and dated! The areas in the bathroom were very poor eg discolouration and cracked mastic to the bath and toilet. The bath panel was suffering from water damage and the very large mirror had peeled all around the edges looking so tatty! The furniture in the room looked old fashioned and dated to be kind ! We have experienced this before at a previous hotel when we used booking .com to make a reservation.read into that what you will

It was wonderful to spend time with friends we hadn’t seen for ages in a pretty location, but I can’t see us coming back

The location was fabulous as was the fact that the property has been retained in its original style. Our room was really spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The Riverside restaurant is a wonderful setting in which to dine, and the menu had plenty of choice.

The reception staff were not welcoming, parts of the property were very tired, there was damage to the wall on the stairs which had been badly filled and not painted, the window frame painting in our room was dreadful, there was peeling wallpaper, the main courses were poorly presented with no garnish, my husband had ice cream and just had 3 scoops in a white bowl with no wafer or decoration, the waiter in the bar tipped a drink over our companion and she was not offered a drink to apologise, the tea at breakfast was cold.

Great location, great visit to Sindhu but the hotel room could have been better

The location.

We didn’t have any towels when we got into our room, nor did we have fresh toilet rolls. We had half left of the roll that was used prior to us arriving. There was only one dressing gown too but two hangers so I’m guessing one hadn’t been replenished. No pen in the room so we could fill out the breakfast request for the following day- we had to go down and get one. Requested breakfast for 0830-0845, at 0850 it still hadn’t arrived. Both our mobiles had died as we had forgotten to bring a charger, and there is no phone in the room to call reception so my partner had to go down and chase where breakfast was, only for it to arrived shortly after freezing cold. Really disappointing, I think we had been forgotten about, and for £26pp for the breakfast that’s not good enough. Really lovely location but let down for almost £300 for the night.

Great location, dated hotel.

Location was great, breakfast good.

The room was shabby, ripped curtains, cracked sink, dodgy electrics in wardrobe, cracks above skirting. We had upgraded the room to have a river view which was achieved, however the room needed a refurb. The breakfast was good but restaurant dirty with fly excrement on window frames and crumbs on the table. We normally stay at the Crowne Plaza but wanted to try this hotel after regular visits to Marlow, we will not be returning.

In general a poor hotel, Marlow itself was pleasant to visit but would not use this hotel again.

The in-house Indian Restaurant, best meal and part of the stay.

Staff that could speak and understand English would have helped. The receptionist who was on duty when we arrived was poor and unhelpful, told us our room was on the ground floor and after much searching was found to be on the 1st floor. No house phone in the room so had to use your mobile to contact any staff. No milk in the room, had to go hunting for the chambermaid who actually turned out to be very helpful, situation resolved. How or when they got a 4 star status I do not know but certainly not worthy of it now.

Lovely stay right on the river

Amazing location right on the river, of which we had a lovely view from our room. Great outside seating area where we enjoyed a drink in the late autumn sun. Rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished. Staff were very polite and helpful. Decent breakfast, nice bar area and plenty of parking. Great location for exploring the town and surrounding areas. We didn't use the hotel restaurant, we dined at Sindhu by Atul Kochar, which is also located in the hotel, and would thoroughly recommend it.

It is pricey, but you are primarily paying for the location. We were on a bead and breakfast rate and the selection was good, but a £6 uplift for Eggs Benedict instead of a full English, given that you're actually getting a lot less food, is a bit much. Also the hairdryer in the room is terrible - even in a higher end hotel they still insist on providing a small travel sized version where you have to hold the button down instead of a regular hairdryer. It's a minor gripe, but still a frustration.

The hotel is in a great location, within an easy walk of the shops and restaurants of Marlow.

The bathroom in particular was a little tired. The service at the bar was poor on Thursday evening. Perhaps it’s better at the weekend.

The view of the weir is fabulous. And the hotel is located just across the bridge, a few minutes’ walk from Marlow centre. These are the reasons to go

It’s tired, the smell in the corridor and in our room was like an old people’s home; some taps don’t work,; there was a card in our room saying call room service for milk but there’s no phone. The terrace was full of cobwebs. It’s like no one is really on it, or it’s just terribly under- invested

Great location, poor service wasn't able to checkin only an hour before normal after driving for 3 hours. then only provided with a toilet to change into. Very poor for this hotel. Breakfast was average but a nice view over the river.

Service and offer to have some where decent to change.
