Great location, slightly tired hotel

Very well located. Reception staff were helpful and friendly.

The toilet in our room didn’t work properly - this was fixed promptly the next morning. We couldn’t turn off the noisy air conditioning fan - again, this was fixed promptly when we mentioned it to the reception staff. The breakfast room staff hadn’t been taught about taking hotel guest amenity into account - for example one staff member noisily dragging tables from one room to another rather than two staff working together to lift rather than drag them. The hotel advertises itself as four star, but some aspects - for example, our bathroom - while clean, showed clear signs of wear and tear - the sliding door of the shower sticking, the floor of the shower with worn patches.

Good location

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Bathroom old and deteriorating, dirty walls, skirting board coming off. Only 1 bag of tea available. The only water available on the minibar was a cheap plastic bottled one.

First of all the staff: they did not even bother to say hello or bye or bongiorno…anything. When i checked in the lady at the reception told me to pay 5 euro for the parking, because their 5 spot parking lot was full. I paid, and in the next morning surprise: fine on the windscreen. I took it to the “lady” and her reaction was: Oh you have to pay it, because i forgot to tell you that every monday the cleaning crew of the city needs the place to be free. So i paid 35 euro. When i asked to talk with the manager, the response was: he s not here. The room was disgusting: very small, dirty, full of mosquitos and it smelled like very old. The breakfast was the worst of my life, and i come from Romania: cold omlette, just a few dishes and the prosciuto tasted wierd.

A good base for daily visits to Florence by train.

Secure Parking. Only 10 minutes walk from the station (good for Florence). Good, helpful and permanent presence at the reception. Good sized rooms.

This is a hotel a bit tired at the edges, particularly from outside, doesn't really strike one as a four star hotel. But clean enough rooms. Better to take the 'Superior' room which have duvets rather than 'Standard' which have blankets. Although they changed when I asked.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was also good. The breakfast was ok!

It was -1 degree outside and the rooms not heated. it had 13 degrees inside the rrom in the evening and took very long to heat up to 16 or more degree. The windows were very big (70er) and the street noises were super loud. You could hear the neighbors talking and understand everyword. The bathroom was not heated at all and was not possible to do so.

Hot food Showers were really small and the bathroom too cramped especially for a person with disabilities It’s very loud so we left a day early as it was difficult to sleep with all the noise through the walls
