Terrible

There were spiders in my room, I called reception and it was late, they have alternative number and if you need help the hotel charge you 300 euros. The cleaning conditions were not good, towels were stained.

Nice stay at Dialog Hotel Eckstein

Short stay but nice family run hotel. Simple room and simple breakfast for a night stay. Nearby a small mall with Coop supermarket etc. About a 10mins walk to the Baar train station. Several good F & B places around within walking distance.

Overall, an excellent location for our group. Breakfast was great and staff were extremely helpful.

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Having checked out, they held our baggage due to us attending an eBike experience and then allowed us to use the shower room to get ready for our flight back to the UK.

We could have been informed about the the roller blind on arrival to allow us to understand how to black the room out and also for privacy.

A Sleeping Nightmare

Clean, like everywhere in Switzerland though.

The main problem is the extremely narrow (80 cm) beds with rock-hard mattresses and uncomfortable jelly-like pillows. A “Double Room” is just two single beds awkwardly joined together in a small room. Sleeping is impossible. No AC / kettle / minibar. The so-called “Inner Courtyard View” room actually faces the street through a half-courtyard separated by a fence. As light sleepers, we could still hear the traffic noise, only slightly muffled by the fence.

I recently stayed for one night at Dialoghotel Eckstein, and found it to be a good, comfortable and clean hotel. The room was well-maintained and equipped with the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough for my needs. The bathroom was clean and had necessary toiletries. The location of the hotel was convenient. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. I would recommend 👍🏻

I would recommend maybe adding a kettle and few tea bags/coffee in the rooms :)

Helpful staff, good location in Baar (close to the train station) but bad value for money

I'm giving it a rating of 4 only because they helped us with the suitcases at the end. We had to wait for a few hours in the lobby while it was pouring rain outside, before moving in another property. Also, there was no way for us to schedule an Uber (nobody would accept it), and they helped with that as well by calling a local taxi driver. Without their help at the end, my rating would have been even lower. From the other positives, I like that everything was clean when we arrived, although we never requested a requested a cleaning service later on during our stay.

1. Prior to our arrival, I asked for an early check-in since our flight to Switzerland was early in the morning but they refused us. 2. Prior to our arrival, they didn't tell us that there will be additional pet fees for our small pug! When we got there, they just said: ohh, you have a dog, there will be a fee at the end of your stay but don't worry, it will be "very small". The "very small" fee at the end was 20 CHF per day which was more than 10% of our overall cost for staying with them... The next property we moved in was way better in every possible way (for the same price) and the pet fee was only 6 CHF. Did I mention that I had no idea what the pet fee was even for? We didn't request a single cleaning from the housekeeping during our entire stay there. 3. Very poor value for money. It's just not worth it... the room was very basic and far away from comfortable. The blankets were huge and very warm, and it was technically still summer while we stayed there. The pillows were terrible and we couldn't sleep on them. There were very few electricity outlets and we couldn't charge several devices simultaneously. The room was quite small. These are not necessarily bad things for everyone but for the price they charge, it's certainly not worth it.

Excellent Hotel in a great location

Great hotel within walking distance to Baar station. Facilities are good and the breakfast was decent too. Would highly recommend and will be staying there again in the future.

Lifts to get to the 1st floor are confusing.
