A beautiful, relaxing one-night stay, with warm, welcoming staff, delicious breakfast and a great view. Would recommend

It was close to where I needed to be, so it was very convenient. It is also located in a beautiful area with big “rock” behind it, giving a spectacular view. The staff are great with communication, and I was able to request transportation arrangements before my arrival, even though I did not need it in the end. The family-owned business made the stay more intimate and individualized. The breakfast buffet was just incredible. I loved the comfy design and warm welcoming feeling of the age-old structure. The free day access pass provided after check out proved very useful (thank you, Christian!).

Not much to say. Perhaps that I felt my bathroom was so close to the main road? Or that I wish the squeeze bottles for the bodywash and shampoos provided were easier to handle (sensors?). Otherwise it was really a wonderful, relaxing stay. I was sad I did not get to see the spa facility (not yet open), and I really wish it was more affordable so I could stay longer next time.

Family run hotel for a quite stay in the Bolzano area

We were there by far more than 3 days and not really for turism. The hotel staff were so nice to us for the whole period that made us feel like home. The lady owner, she is a force of nature, she is always finding solutions and very accomodating. All the team working at the hotel are very helpful. The room was clean, silent and confortable. Breakfast buffet is everyday excellent, with sweet and salty options. The garden/lounge is a very nice area to chill after a long day in the hot Bolzano. Bar is open until 22:00 everynight. Restaurant is not active anymore, but there are several good options in the surrounding. The hotel has a covered parking included in the room rate. Wellness centre is also available even if we did not use it.

Great location in Bolzano South, especially convenient if you’re traveling by car—plus, the underground garage is a real

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Lewald. The location in the southern part of Bolzano is convenient, especially if you’re traveling by car—being able to move around independently was a real plus. The underground garage was a great feature, safe and easy to access. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a well-equipped and equally spacious bathroom. Breakfast was discreet but of good quality—limited options, but everything fresh and well-prepared. I particularly enjoyed the garden area, ideal for sunbathing, and the outdoor swimming pool, which is not in-ground but an above-ground structure—still a pleasant spot to cool off. The hydromassage area next to it was a lovely addition—relaxing and well maintained. I didn’t use the spa as it follows a nudist policy, which is not within my habits, but everything else made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Excellent with spa

One of the best sauna areas I have seen. Nice hot sauna and steam room with spacious relaxation area, tea and towels provided. Room was good too. I received a bus ticket for free travel in Bolzano. Location is a little further out, but you should be aware of this when booking. There were a couple of pretty good casual restaurants and shops available in the area. Breakfast was great. Staff was very good - the man at reception was on a phone call when I entered and immediately excused himself to attend to me (which I don't expect, but it was nice).

Great hotel to stay in Bolzano. Great underground parking with automatic door to get in. Great breakfast with great variety of things and fabulous coffees. The very best are the host and owners Johanna and Monica thanks for a great stay. The only thing I missed was a minibar Ten minutes drive from the city center

Good stay, staff and breakfast

The staff were great, super friendly and waiting for me upon late night arrival. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen so far staying in Italy. It had a wide range of options and even had a large section of gluten free/vegan items. A really nice room and grounds.

Quiet place, connection to the city, great breakfast and wonderful staff!

The hotel is loacated just outside the city centre of Bolzano. Easy to reach by car and it has a great indoor parking. The bus station is very close if you prefer to go to the city by bus. As we visited Bolzano's Xmas markets it was very helpful to avoid the road jam. The staff was very friendly with many useful advices to visit the city. The room very clean and reachable from the parking. The bathroom was large and perfectly heated. The breakfast tasteful and various.

We enjoyed our stay and we are thankful to the nice staff to made it even better. There is nothing we didn't like.

I had 2 rooms and a big balcony for myself! Nice view of the sunset (and the graveyard). The staff was very friendly and I was able to leave my bag there even after checkout. I also got a day pass for all buses etc, which meant that I could explore Soprabolzano without paying extra for the cable car.

It was quite far away from the city center. I wanted to save some money and walk, which took me a while.

Such a comfy place! The staff was friendly and helpful, making sure you get everything you could possibly need to move around. The breakfast was great and the room had all the facilities. They take care of every single detail. Highly recommend!

We had a very disappointing room, apart from size. It was a very poor location within hotel - no balcony and overlooking a building site. The sofa was under the television! There were not even beakers for water!

There is a really nice SPA with the steam and dry heat rooms. The pool is there, but it looks better on pictures than in real life - large above ground plastic tub.

The restaurant was closed. We understand, it is August, but I would appreciate if it is clearly noted in the property description.
