Newly refurbished hotel but difficult to enjoy facilities due to lack of rules.

Newly renovated building, new furniture, pleasant design, spacious rooms, rich breakfast. Shuttle service to the gondola was very useful.

The hotel needs stricter rules for clients, to ensure proper use of the facilities and to avoid discomfort. For one night we had heavy cigarette smell in the bathroom for another room where someone was most probably smoking in the bathroom. On the other hand, the spa is turned into a playground for kids, it is almost impossible to properly use the jacuzzi or even the sauna, as kids are playing everywhere with no disruption, risking their lives and disturbing adult clients. You should impose clear rules for these facilities.

A poorly managed stay marked by untrained staff, basic hospitality failures, and a lack of attention

Unfortunately, our stay was let down by consistently poor service and a clear lack of basic hospitality standards. The staff were unhelpful throughout our stay and appear to need significant retraining in customer service. Simple expectations were not met: complimentary water was not provided, and the minibar was never topped up for the entire duration of our stay. Housekeeping was particularly disappointing. On several occasions we returned to the room to find it poorly tidied cushions not put back on the sofa, the coffee table left in a random position, and used glasses neither cleaned nor replaced. These are basic details that should never be overlooked at this level of hotel.

When we raised a complaint about the lack of daily complimentary water, the hotel sent a cake as an apology. While the gesture was noted, it missed the point entirely and the cake itself was left sitting in the room for days without being cleared. Overall, the experience felt careless and below standard. With better training, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality, this hotel could improve significantly, but based on our stay, we would not return.

5 star with a 3 stars feel - not worth the money

The hotel’s location is good, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable, which made our stay pleasant overall. The breakfast was good, although it was extremely crowded at times. The spa had a good sauna and a nice gym, however we were shocked to see small children in the sauna, the hotel should definitely stress that this is not allowed. However, there is significant room for improvement when it comes to housekeeping. During our six-day stay, the room was never properly cleaned. Even dirty coffee mugs were left in the room day after day. Housekeeping appeared to be limited to changing towels and emptying the trash bins, which was disappointing and below expectations for a five-star hotel.

Unfortunately, our experience was seriously affected after checkout. We accidentally left my husband’s coat, worth approximately €450, in the wardrobe in the room. We are absolutely certain it was there: he arrived wearing this coat (we even have photos taken in front of the hotel), but he departed wearing his ski jacket. He did not use the coat at any point during our stay, as it was too cold. We contacted the hotel the very next day and followed up with multiple calls and messages. Despite this, we were simply informed that they had checked and that “nothing was found.” This response was extremely disappointing, especially for a five-star hotel. Guests occasionally forget personal belongings, and we would expect a hotel of this standard to handle such situations with greater care and responsibility—by making a genuine effort to locate and return lost items rather than dismissing the matter. This incident fell far below the level of service we expected.

Very average, no way this is a 5 star hotel.

We booked a room for a family, 2 children under 12. They provided a pull out sofa bed for them which was only just large enough for 1 child. When we asked for a camp bed they said they couldnt. After a long battle we got an extra bed.

Excellent, newly refurbished hotel with friendly staff and a great spa, pool & breakfast

Bit worried about visiting here based on some previous reviews, however, hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment and we were really happy with all of the communal areas, bar, restaurant, pool/spa, reception/lobby and then our room, which had been newly renovated and was immaculate. We had a family mountain view suite, with two bedrooms, which was large & well equipped. It genuinely is a very nice hotel and the staff are attentive & friendly, both from guest services & reception, to bar & breakfast - would certainly recommend breakfast, they put on a huge and very nice spread. Pool & spa was also nice, they will provide towels & lockers for you, and again staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

As with any hotel having works done, there was a little noise etc from building works but it's very small & didn't impact our stay. As with any new launch, there are a few teething issues - for example, we had a kettle in our room but no cups (!), but these were small things & easily rectified.

Pleasant stay with family, not like 5 stars

The location is quiet and nice, below the mountain. The breakfast was great, and a la carte menu was good as well. Rooms are big and comfortable, we stayed in a room with a separate bedroom. We received very nice fruits in our room. SPA is good, with a nice pool with warm water and 2 jacuzzis, 3 saunas.. Our kid enjoyed the playroom.

The staff is not so polite (except the one in the restaurant, they were great!), or they were understaffed in this period. When we arrived, we discovered that we have a room in a separate part of the hotel (you have to go outside which was not convinient in rainy weather with a small kid but noone told us that upfront). No one helped us with the baggage, and it was very difficult to find the room without help and proper instructions (we have to change 2 elevators as half of the hallways were blocked). Be aware that stated facilities are not correct! Even if it is a 5-star hotel, you will get only soap (no shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and shower gel at all). It is stated that there is a kitchenette, but actually, there is only a kettle! No stovetop, coffee machine, any dishes.. There are only 2 glasses (not packed), no even cups, and you will have only 2 coffees (they dont bring it every day). So, if you have planned some quick meals to prep for the kids, it is not possible.

Great place with nice rooms and decent breakfast and spa.

I've been to many places in Bansko, but the Regnum hotel had one of the best rooms so far. The spa was decent, and they also mentioned they will renovate it very soon. The breakfast was also nice, but I'm not that hard to please when it comes to food.

I wasn't visiting during ski season. So, do your own research about transportation and other related topics.

Nice location and friendly staff. Needs renovation. The half-board option is worth it.

The staff is very nice and well trained. I wouldn't say 5*, but still very polite and helpful. The spa offers a few choices, but was overcrowded and respectively not quite clean. The inner spa options were cleaner, but were a bit dated and worn out. The restaurant was quite nice, with great choice and tasty meals. The half-board is definitely worth it. The room was spacious and well equipped, but definitely worn out. The "mountain view" terrace was a nice addition - spacious and with a nice view. There was a nice children's play room and generally a variety of kids entertainment.

The hotel needs some renovation. The spa and the rooms most notably. These were great back in the day, but are now worn out. Everything was still functioning, but doesn't feel modern or fresh.

Great vacation

The hotel is one of my favorite, been coming for years! This year the hotel went through refurbishment and renovation! Design is great, our apartment was beautiful, bed so comfortable! Breakfast is superb! The most important acet to the hotel is the staff! From the reception girls to the drivers of the shuttle to the mineral spa were so nice, helpful, always smiling and happy to help!! But g thank you!!

Located near the mountains, this is a quiet and peaceful place. The breakfast was truly extensive and diverse. The hotel room has breathtaking views, and the outside pool has a pleasant water temperature.

The outdoor pools in the village of Banya. The room was very large. The breakfast was excellent.

This is not a 5 star hotel by any standard. The hotel needs an upgrade. The furniture was tired and dirty as was the carpeting. The gym was not open until 9:00.

Kind, sweet and really professional staff throughout the whole hotel! The spa was amazing, it had everything we wanted/needed and we were able to fully relax and enjoy ourselves. The restaurant and the bar are top notch. The chef in the restaurant makes the most delicious scrambled eggs and muffins I’ve ever tried. The cocktails at the bar were really good and the bartender is the absolute sweetest person. Specious and really comfortable room. Big bathroom, 55’ TV in the living room, massive bed that was extremely comfortable. We also had great view of the river and the mountains on our balcony. I was really impressed by the great cleaning staff and how quickly they would clean the rooms when we go out. There is a safe in the room, really good room service and amazing view of the mountains. Would absolutely recommend to everyone and I am planning on coming back here!

Great thermal spa with shuttle bus to get there. Another spa at the hotel. Great location in the town (although very quiet in May). Tasty a la carte restaurant. Good breakfast buffet with huge variety. Comfortable spacious room, good bed. Bath and shower. River running right past and views of the mountain.

Lovely hotel!

The staff at the hotel are great, they go out of their way to help, advice , always smiling and polite!! This is our 3 Rd stay, we love it!! Breakfast has a lot of different options, buffet style!! The mineral spa is absolutely amazing! Would visit again for sure!
