Worn needs updating & not a quiet stay!

It is close to the airport

Old facilities. Dirty worn carpets. Old bathroom no hot water and shower was so old didn’t work! Certainly Needs modernising. Not inviting or redeemable features! Food menu poor and ordered soup it was a dry packet of tomato and basil salty soup. Certainly not edible! Doors banging most of the night when we needed to catch an early flight!!!Staff were lovely but I would never stay there again!

5 minutes walk to the airport

No hot water. Staff said lots of complaints about no hot water since the cold spell a few weeks ago. Staff offered a room to have a shower that did have hot water which we used. Need to get the hot water fixed as it’s not conducive to travellers needing a shower.

Reception and bar staff very professional and helpful.

The food in dining room I would give a 2/10, the 3.5 garlic mushrooms were well over cooked though didn’t complain as thought might be a one off. However the gammon steak was burned (presented burnt side down) mushrooms were cold chips ok. When I mentioned to the waitress I couldn’t eat it she asked what was wrong with it. I pointed to the extremely charged gammon she then asked if I wanted it exchanged. However after 7.5 hours travelling I was extremely tired and declined this offer as want to go to my room (I’m 73 years old).

Clean and tidy, good space for us an out luggage, great access to the airport......we'll be back.

The room was a great size for us and for the clean. There were NO USB plugs anywhere, which made it difficult to charge phones. We used the USB outlet in the back of the TV but it would have been easier to have a couple at the bottom of one of the lamps or something like that. The windows in the sitting room could not be closed as the out unit was bound up. But the price was great for the room we got and I'll us it again.

NO USB plugs readily available like in the bottom of a lamp base. Could close the windows in one of our rooms as they may have been reinstalled incorrectly, an appeared to be too short for the width available

If you want to be close to the airport, then the location is great; it's only a short walk away. It's not particularly close to anything else, though.

The rooms are a bit dated and while generally clean, there are lots of corners being cut. I knew what I was expecting, though.

Wonderful, inviting and comfortable.

The breakfast is lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are brilliant. They can’t do enough for you. Especially the check in staff, and Abby. They are friendly, polite, and when they recognise you they really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Tonight I had dinner, which was very good, and served very well. I keep coming back to the hotel because of this, and they are always pleased to see you. Would recommend to anyone!

The lack of parking close to the entrance is a little disappointing as I suffer from Arthritis and it can be a little hard to walk.

Nice on the outside

Daytime staff are great at helping and giving direction. The vacinity to the airport is great.

Night time staff member was slow, seemed like he was napping in the back office. My room seemed clean and tidy, but by looking at the old furniture and fixtures, it felt not clean and needs a huge renovation.

How close it was to the airport. The staff were somewhat helpful when ordering a taxi but not all had the same helpfulness.

The twins beds were very small twins, more like caravan size beds. The furniture was old and in desperate need of updating. The room was not very clean, with cobwebs in the corners, dust and food debris on the boxing for the heating pipes. The towel rail in the bathroom was very rusty, needs replacement. The shower curtain could do with updating as does the shower both look very old and tired. The flush for the toilet was coming loose from the system. There was a stain in the bathroom from where the hot water ran, the hot water tap was difficult to turn off. Dinner in the on-site restaurant was not very good. I was told by reception i could have a table for 18:40, I eventually got seated at 19:00. The cavery was poor quality, there was no bread roll with the soup, the meat was chewy. There was no water glass on the table ( I had to ask for a glass). The water was not refreshed after the previous diners, no drinks qere offered with the meal. The menu stated the server would invite guests to choose the main course, after diners had finished their starters, this did not happen. The chef had to be called from the kitchen to serve the meat, this resulted in a long wait for service. The chef never spoke or smiled during the sweving of the meat, he seemed very nervous and no interst in being there. The housekeeping team were complaining about working conditions and said the had to cut corners, I heard some of the team swearing.

Nothing we didn't like, only thing was we had to get taxi across to airport due to husband unable to walk. Only a short distance and they charged £12.

One person working in the bar and serving food. People standing in line to get served for a very long time. The barman could do no more than he did. Just understaffed. The place is so old and worn out rooms. In 2025. This should not be the case for a hotel next to the airport. So bad. So uncomfortable. So bad service but it's not the staff fault

The Hotel could do with a upgrade. Especially in room 9. Shower knob fell on the floor. Cracked floor tile Grouting around the bath floor and in between tiles coming away. Crack in sink. Mirror needs replacing. Entrance to main entrance. Windows need cleaning. Cobwebs in corners.
