This is a 3 star hotel at best slipping by as a 5 star on a technicality. The hotel is run down and badly in need of investment. Don’t expect the normal Italian 5 star quality and if this is important then check out the many other properties in Trieste before selecting this one.

No hot water to shower and heating in winter in such a hotel, only can be disappointing.

As reserved 3 rooms for a night to sleepover before continue our trip, we were expecting hot water and warm room to enjoy our long day. Unfortunately no hot water at all in any of the 3 rooms, heating also not working, as we needed. The fact to need to take shower at night and next morning also in cold water and not be told about this, is something unacceptable. In the morning when complained, we were told they have difficulties and they apologies. We have been given a box of Prosecco, seemly already prepared for frustrated customers. Cheap compensation while we already got a cold. Strange also than an old, loyal customer who came to pay and check out, did not say a word about no hot water, so I think it was only our floor... or building. Very sad experience in a good hotel and place, but this is unacceptable.

Great for a couples' escape.

The spa facilities are spacious and well run. Turkish and Finnish sauna, rest area, a pool you can swim in. Cleanliness is top notch. It's a lovely building, well kept. Parking is great, too. Breakfast is self service and reasonably well stocked with cold options and a toast maker. Would recommend.

It was a bit cold in the room and we didn't seem to be able to get it warmer with the termostat. The large double bed was actually two singles and they were sliding apart.

Great breakfast, good AC on a very hot day

A nice comfortable room with a good working AC. Great breakfast on a terrace overlooking the sea. I only stayed one night while at the conference, but had a very good experience. I would come back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was nice... however, a little more variety would be appreciated. The rooms were well designed and made. Unfortunately though, the beds were too soft and as a result I had some back pain.

Lovely hotel, would recommend

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The room was huge and very comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic and eaten on a terrace with a gorgeous view. Slightly outside of Trieste, very close to great swimming spot. Would definitely recommend.

Quite good stay but quite expensive. Nevertheless I can't compare with over price level in the area.

Good location near to Barcola strand. Good breakfast with beautiful view on Trieste bay. Sauna, gym and pool in price. Polite staff.

Could be noisy for somebody. Not sure how sound isolation works for rooms heading main road. Hotel is close to main road. We had windows to backyard so not the issue. Not sure if it is really 5 star hotel, rather 4 and 1/2.
