The team at the Hotel informed me know advance i could cancel the booking.com reservation and could pay a lower fee upon departure from the property. I kept my receipt and confirmed we saved about 100 euros this way. Great staff, means alot in this economy. Breakfast was amazing. Soaps in the hotel are good.

As this hotel is popular for different types of big events, it might be quite noisy in case of dancing parties.

Breakfast is incredible, fresh fruit, eggs made to order, fresh breads and fresh juices!!! And.... with a spectacular view! LOVED IT!

Maybe the location because of the onsite parking facilities which was convenient for our little time in Trieste. View from the room was very nice!!

Upon entering, you don't get the impression of a high-quality hotel: the air is stale and the décor looks a bit dated. The guest room corridors also feel very stuffy. The room has two windows facing the sea, yet the air inside is unpleasant; opening the windows, of course, lets in a lot of traffic noise. There is air conditioning available for those who don't mind stale air. The bed is large and comfortable, though the sheets aren't pure cotton—something one would expect from a hotel of this class. A plaque at the entrance claims it is a 5-star hotel, but I don't think that reflects the current reality. Perhaps it was in the past? Maybe something can be done to make it feel fresher.
