Unlike the worse of the reviews suggest, the hotel is generally in very good condition. Ok, there will be minor stains at the edge of the wall, that can also happen in an otherwise fairly pristine hotel. The spa is in nature more or less flawless, but it should be significantly more closely observed (see below)
The steam room didn't work and noone had noticed. On our first day there was no staff around the spa/wellness area for hours - meaning seats with used towels were not cleared, and the malfunction of the steam room possibly went unnoticed for a long time (days?). It couldn't be repaired during our stay.
I suggest you have someone checking on the facilities once an hour or once every few hours at least, there's a bar down there with a computer also, so there should be someone at least once in a while.
Staff were generally very helpful though, so one might imagine there may be a shortage of staff, I don't know. Perhaps sacrifice a few luxury items but do cover the basics?
However, I dislike that there was no kettle in the rooms; in this class, that should be standard. Also there was no (effective) ventilation of the bathroom and also the fitness room lacked ventilation

The breakfast was in a very nice and chic restaurant. The pool was nicely located with very comfortable chaises-long and very helpful staff. The terrace also very nice for warm days. The room was nicely decorated.
The croissants offered in the breakfast were not of a good quality. The room didn't have airconditioning and we had a difficulty with sleeping in the night. It was very hot (on a day with 30 degrees). There was a fan that was making too much noise. Perhaps if it is dfficult to install airco in the rooms, a good idea could be to install roof fans.

Breakfast with extra option such as prepared omelet etc. in situ, room and pool, relaxed professional staff and clients, quiet surroundings...
In general be more green and buy local:
- E.g. at breakfast there was at least 6-7 different juices, but no local-produced bio apple juice (non-filtered, 'naturtrüb') - yes people will welcome a local-produced bio juice!;
- At the restaurants there are too few or no vegetables on the plates (should be up to 1/2 of the plate) - don't worry, people will welcome more well-cooked/steamed vegetables!
- Room: The pillows are a little too soft;
Rental of bikes were, contrary to stated on website, not possible.

The hotel and location are beautiful but what makes this place special are the staff. I was stranded in Luxembourg due to a cancelled flight. I made the booking and called the hotel to confirm. Staff were kind and reassuring - especially so late at night. I was given essential toiletries and was finally able to relax in my amazing suite. Next day I needed to run a webinar and a conference room was found for me. All the staff were great and I want to make a special shout out to Johannes who went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you - I was moved by your care and generosity.

- it is clean
- bed is nice
- staff in the morning at the breakfast and during daytimd at the lobby are really nice and helpful
- Breakfast is good, nothing too special
- views from the hotel could be wonderful, depening on which terrace you can sit
- daily news/updates on weather and stuff are a nice gimmick
- ‘travel pack’ for the road when leaving
A couple of things we disliked, of which the evening staff at the hotel lobby and lobby bar is really concerning
- evening staff: one night we were ‘offered’ water for the room and although we said we still had water that’s in the room when arriving, the bartender insisted on ‘giving’ some water. We then saw it was billed for ‘only’ €9,00. Bummer, but okay. Other night I politely asked, another, bartender if there was a misunderstanding as I ordered a different beer than I got. Also said it was not an issue. He disagreed, then another lobby guy came and started to make a fuss when I, again calmly, suggested the English menu should be changed. He started screaming and walking away ‘We have to change a lot around here’. Really weird and scaring
- facilities: maybe we were here just at wrong time and wrong place, but be careful when you travel and check what is open. During our stay only the lobby bar and restaurant Bacchus were open. The pool bar was closed, just as the other bar and restaurants. When sitting outside the pool area (only terrace where we could sit in the sun), the lobby bar is a bit of a walk. Furthermore, during our stay there was no food available between 6PM and 9PM other than Bacchus. Bacchus has really good food, but it is on the expensive side. So, if you want a light meal or just a snack, you don’t have any options during that window. Unfortunately for us, restaurants in town were also closed
- room: it is advertised with having a ‘view’. Our view was on the parking lot. Either make a distinction in advertising different rooms, or don’t advertise with this usp. Bed was nice. Rest a bit outdated and weary. E.g., holes in the curtains, toilet sometimes issues with flushing
- view: the terrace at Bacchus has a really nice view, but unfortunately, that was closed. There’s also a terrace outside the swimming pool, but you cannot see the surroundings.

The hotel was great, beds were super comfortable and the breakfast and food where very nice.
The rooms were quite warm as there was a heat wave, the fan put in the room helped but it was still very warm.

The selection of food and the quality. Also the setting and staff.
In the bathroom there were a few hairs from a previous guest.

Lovely place, staff very friendly and their English was all excellent which is so good because my German needs a lot of work. I really enjoyed the pool area. I have never felt so relaxed on holiday before. I will definitely come again.
If you're coming from Remich definitely get a taxi as the walk isn't much fun with a suitcase.

Breakfast was lovely on the terrace every morning, staff very attentive
Unfortunately the air conditioning machine in the junior suite was very noisy and sleep was difficult, also we didn’t realise we had to request a balcony on booking so only had a small window in a big suite

No A/C, no coffee making facilities in the rooms. Standard 4 stars , clearly overpriced.

Fantastic as always, we have visited this location and stayed here 5 times in the last 3 years. People are friendly, the place is clean and we love the restaurant for both evening meals AND breakfast.
I accidentally left my iPhone charging cable in the room we stayed in (Kaiser Suite, which is the most expensive room in the hotel). When I realised this on my way home I called reception straight away and explained this. They confirmed they had found it and told me they could mail it to my house (We live 2 hours away) BUT I would have to pay for postage and stamping in the amount of €6.
I am shocked & extremely dissapointed that a 5 Star Hotel where I have stayed 5 times in the space of 3 years and probably spent close to €2.000 in this time feels the need to charge me as a guest the postage costs for this and I will need to think long & hard again before visiting this location again.

surrounded by wine yard
spa is nice and not crowded at all
staff at the reception was unfriendly, limit rude and non French speakers
we were awaken by mistaken by the room service at 8 am in the morning
we were ask to leave the hotel at noon and pay extra if we just wanted to enjoy the pool a bit more ( after spending almost 400€ for one night and diner there )

Staff was helpful and service oriented,
Rooms are spacious and confortable.
Food at breakfast was very good, as well as the restaurant. i tried a lovely local white wine and a sparkling wine. I encourage the promotion
The wellness area was nice and clean.
The view from the room was at the parking, so nothing nice or romantic
Water served both in the bar and in the restaurant was Italian which made it so much more expensive opposed to a local water. With concern for the environment and i would prefer to see more local products especially water.
At the wellness area where saunas were bathing-suit was not required, which i find so unhygienic.

food in restaurant Bachus was mediocre and not up to the standards of the hotel

The property was very well-maintained and the staff was first rate. I love the view and the difference with the Mediterranean style and the medieval castle made it a unique place to stay. Keep up the great work!
loved the facility but the locking system on the doors was very finicky. That was my only grievance about the property was the locking system. It is a great idea however the turning mechanism was extremely hard to work and took quite some time to get into the rooms. The casino needed some better games to play and some machines were out of order, disappointed.
