Strange stay.

Not much

The lady at reception - not speaking english - was unable to find the reservations of other guests with the result that we had to translate which was not a problem for us. However when the turn was our reservation we learned - by talking on phone with the owner - that our reserved premium room was not accessable due to a defected door. So, we accepted a smaller room but did not get a reimbursement until today. Later when we went to the restaurant inside the hotel we were told that the chef aleady left and the kitchen is closed. So, we went to the restaurant next door and there we met other guests from our hotel and everybody told us another story about the closure of the hotel restaurant. This stay was our 3rd after 2 previous ones which were at our full satisfaction. Now, after this negative experience we will hesitate to book at whiteswan again but would rather choose the hotel next door - unless we would receive a reasonable explanation of what happened that day.

Revolting smell in the bathroom.

The bathroom had the worst smell of sewage we have ever smell, but we didn't feel comfortable in talking about it with the staff because they looked shocked and upset when we asked for a spare towel a few minutes prior. One of the corners of the mattress was wet and the room was a bit dusty. The kettle was so full of calcium built up that it was disgusting. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything around. The breakfast is included but it's very poor and low quality, so it's just an excuse to keep the rate high. They ask for a pet fee and yet are not willing to provide anything for it.

Definitely worth it is money

The breakfast provided with many options to choose, there were a few refills. Staff was also really nice View from the room is magnificent

I would stay again because I liked the eclectic vibe.

The breakfast was great, especially for the cost of the hotel. The restaurant prices were reasonable. The location was far from Luxembourg City, but the bus stop was right out the door with a free 30-40 min ride to the city. Rooms were clean.

The shower was a bit cramped. The halls were marrow and well worn, as is typical of older establishments.

Nice Asian-style hotel with friendly staff

Very friendly staff, large air-conditioned room, great Asian restaurant on site!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing: bread and pastries didn't taste very fresh, and it's a shame for vegetarians that they only have scrambled eggs already mixed with bacon (just keep it separate so everyone's happy). The entrance to the hotel is also not very clear. Towels were very hard.

Great place for cheap stay.

Location, restaurant and staff were great.

Bathroom in room was postage stamp size, layout in it was awful making it near impossible to get in the shower without almost breaking the shower door off. It opened against the sink and the toilet. A curtain would have been better on this occasion.

The terrace outside needed see through glass to enjoy the beautiful view. The road was very busy outside , no air con .

Very, very nice stay with very nice personnel

The surrounding is beautiful, the property is very nice , rooms are beautiful, personnel is very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant in which the meals are presented in a very nice way.

Really only for crossing the “t” here; could be clearer when to use which entry, one room had a few hairs, soap was empty (we didn’t complain as we brought our own, they would have fixed it for sure)

the hosts were very friendly, helpful, kind. the rooms were cosy, the bed was very comfortable the breakfast could be eaten in the garden or on a nice terrace

the bathroom shower was small and leaked a lot, and the bathroom ventilation was noisy to sleep, no minibar

Nice staff and good place for the night

The White Swan is a typical Moessel-70's hotel but completely renovated. Rooms-although rather small are nicely decorated and the bed is outstanding. Bathroom is rather big in size but renovation was not done thouroughly leaving it with the old tiles and bath-tub all the rest was renewed. This results in a clash of ages and styles when showering ;-) A limited number of covered parking spaces are available and a nice terrace/garden next to a river is available for hotel guests. Staff is Asian and communication is sometimes funny but with good intentions from both sides you get all you ask for.

Breakfast was not included but available for 10€, choice was rather basic and goods were supermarket quality (yoghurt, chees, ham, salami, ...) a selection of fruit was offered but had not much taste, pastry was overbaked (croissants, ...) Coffee on the other hand was outstanding

Good location, good asiatic food.

Well sited, direct on the river Mosel. Comfort room newly renovated with good amenities. Evening meal excellent and breakfast very good. Obviously proprieters fresh to the trade but all staff helpful and willing to assist.

The restaurant is asiatic which should be mentioned in the description. Luckily we enjoy this type of food! Language problems with some of the staff with very limited English,

5 Star for Service, Stay and Food

Breakfast was amazing, small hotel which felt like a home. What I also liked a lot was the staff was super friendly during our visit. Dinner was unbelievable in this hotel restaurant, probably best dinner I have ever ate in Luxemburg, prices in restaurant varies from 7-25€.

Great hotel, lovely staff and wonderful restaurant.

We had a great one night stay in this hotel. It was obviously newly refurbished, was spotlessly clean and all the photos on line did it justice. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Perhaps the highlight of the stay was the restaurant, which was exceptional, both with the quality of the food and presentation. They also offered a 10% discount to hotel guests. This is a real hidden gem and only 20km from the centre of Luxembourg. Would highly recommend.

J'adore le style de design intérieur de la chambre Chaleureux et convivial et matelas très confortable accueil très souriant et la patronne très serviable et a l'écoute de ses clients Restaurant très délicieux repas sur place je vous conseille cet endroit si vous êtes de passage dans le secteur.

De rester qu'une nuit j'aurais voulu rester plus longtemps mais mon emploi du temps ne me permet pas donc rien à signaler au contraire les autres hôtels prenez exemple

An der Rezeption wurde weder deutsch noch französisch verstanden. Ich musste mit dem Übersetzungsprogramm chinesisch kommunizieren, aber auch ohne Erfolg. Ich habe an beiden Tagen kein Frühstück erhalten. In der ersten Nacht war ich der einzige Gast. In der zweiten Nacht wurden im Nachbarzimmer den Geräuschen nach stundenlang Flitterwochen gefeiert und jede halbe Stunde wurde geduscht. Im Restaurant war ich auch der einzige Gast und es hatte gefühlt ungefähr 15° Zimmertemperatur.
