We loved our stay at the Hotel Zach. It was a great location and had and excellent staff!

The rooms were very nice. The staff was amazing and very helpful.

A bigger shower would have been nice. The toiletries could have included conditioner as well.

strongly advise anyone who values their personal safety to avoid this hotel completely.

This is not a complaint about comfort or service. This is about basic human safety. This hotel operates without any reception after 9:00 PM, with no on-site staff, no security, and no reliable emergency support overnight. I was informed of this only one hour before 9 PM on the day of arrival, when they messaged me that if I arrived late, the key would be left in an envelope at the entrance. My room was on the terrace level, meaning the moment you step outside, you are directly exposed to outdoor weather. Around midnight, with temperatures around −10°C, I briefly stepped outside for fresh air before sleeping. When I closed the door, I realized my key card and phone were locked inside. From that moment, I was effectively trapped outside in freezing temperatures. I knocked on neighboring rooms. Thankfully, another guest was staying on that floor. She checked the hotel building — there was absolutely no one on duty. Because I had no phone, she helped me call the hotel’s listed “emergency number” repeatedly — no one answered. She then helped me contact the police, who told us they could not intervene. At that point, my only option was to leave the property in sub-zero weather and walk across the area checking multiple hotels until finally finding one with an available room. Every other nearby hotel had 24/7 staffed reception. This one did not. Worse: once you exit, the property has one-direction security gates. Without the electronic key, you cannot re-enter. If no other guest had been staying on that floor, I would have been alone, without a phone, locked outside in −10°C winter conditions. The next day, I confronted management. The manager and owner showed no concern for guest safety and blamed me entirely, saying: “If you know we do not have night reception, you should choose another hotel.” They refunded only half of one night, despite the fact that I never stayed that night and had to pay for emergency accommodation elsewhere.

Good location, but too expensive for what it offers.

Good location, clean, safe, good breakfast.

No water in the room, no fridge, no tea/coffee in the room. We have arrived late (towards midnight) and the reception was closed (they closed around 21-21:30); we didn’t even have a bottle of water in the room, needless to mention that they had a coffee machine at the reception at they were asking 3€ for hot water to prepare a tea. Very poor attention to such details and not worth especially as we paid over 300€ per night during the end of the year period.

I stayed five nights in a petite business room with a large twin bed. It had a small desk and closet area with a private bathroom (shower only). It was clean and exactly what I expected based on the photos. The breakfast room was lovely and the coffee/tea/food was nice quality. All the staff I met were kind, friendly and very helpful. Most of them spoke English ... thank goodness, since I have no German! :-) Special thanks to Alvina at breakfast, Seraphine and Barbara at the front desk! I could walk to everything in only a few minutes.

very good downtown hotel with friendly staff

The location is good, walking distance to the train station and the mall, staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, parking is in a good location and price considering it's a downtown hotel in a crowded city.

I suggest that a coffee maker and electric kettle should be added to the rooms. Also there is no fridge. The staff agreed to keep some of our food refrigerated in the reception fridge, but it was less than ideal. The way the "family room" is set up, there is one room with privacy but no bathroom, and one room with bathroom access but no windows, so both parents and kids have to compromise on something.

Good offer for a fair price

Clean room, good location, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Near to the train station and you can leave your luggage at the hotel if you’re leaving the city later during the day.

I had a room facing the street and there were some party people making noise but it was a cool night so I close the window and didn’t hear a thing!

Nice and simple hotel in the city centre

I stayed here for two nights during weekend. Originally I wanted to stay at Ibis, but it was booked out, so I chose this hotel which was equivalent price and probably cheapest in the city centre, when it comes to regular hotels. The girls at the reception were especially nice and helpful. The rooms was clean and cozy. The nights were silent, even with the window opened to the main street. The breafast was classic but good. No problems, I would come back again, thanks.

Normal stay but we were double charged and the hotel was slow to solve, which ruined our post-stay.

We were double charged after our stay. And it was for the whole group, so more than 1000 euros. When we informed the hotel that we were about to be double charged, we only got dismissive answers (the financial department needs to look into it, we need to be patient...). In the end they refunded this, but it took almost two weeks after many messages and unclear responses, so it was a very stressful situation.

Location was great, in between the train station and old town. Exceptionally clean! Staff very friendly, helpful and prompt. We got an upgrade to a bigger room which was awesome after coming out of a 4 day mountain hike, we had heaps of stuff to sort out and the extra space was actually really helpful. The breakfast for €16 was great value for money, bacon, eggs, white bread! ( love the traditional Austrian breakfast in the huts but was pleased to have something less rugged for a day), fruit, pastries, just heaps of food and unlimited espresso. Definitely get this, it’s a bargain!

Would be nice if the Welcome tickets (that allow you to use city transportation free) are printed and given to customer at check-in and also explain the benefits. We did not receive the room that was presented in the booking picture. Unfortunately, so it happens that there is a construction cross the street therefore, from 7 AMto 7PM there is a lot of noise.

Hotel Zach innsbruck

Room was a decent size with a sofa in the window. Check in was easy staff very friendly. Breakfast was loads of choice and as much coffee as you want! Staff at breakfast very good and always checking if had enough coffee. Safe was welcome addition to the room. Hotel in decent location for the town. Great affordable hotel with friendly staff!
