Great city stay

Fantastic hotel in Zurich within walking distance of a tram and bus stop. Very good base to explore the city from. Room and bathroom was a little small but very comfortable and cosy

They were great when we arrived late, staff very friendly. Location was amazing, the room was very quiet considering the location. The bed was very comfortable and they had the best tasting tap water I have ever experienced!

Clean cosy rooms, super friendly staff, perfect location and an unforgettable view!

The location is excellent in the center of the city, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful creating a warm welcoming atmosphere, the room was clean, warm and cosy with the roof top terrace providing a simply amazing view!

The proximity to the attractions of the old city, the Christmas market, and the lake

(1) we couldn't reach them with our rental car to drop off bags because of a marathon in the city. The hotel didn't inform us about this and we wasted time driving around and around getting blocked each time (2) the receptionist doubles as the cafe employee. She wasn't nice - we asked when they close the cafe, she said 9pm, we can back specially for coffee at 8:25 and she said that she had already cleaned the machine and so couldn't make us coffee. No apology, no effort to offer a solution. No smile. (3) we specifically ordered a single large bed but got 2 adjacent beds

Great little hotel in a very central location. Rooms quite small but everything you need. Buffet continental breakfast included. Great cafe bar attached to hotel although opening hours could be longer.

Location, location, location! We are not accustomed to public transport and we planned our walking route from the train station (10 kg case and a rucksack each). Easy walk to the hotel. We were so lucky that our room was ready on arrival, we had expected to drop off our luggage and go exploring and it was a treat to relax for an hour before heading out for food.

Excellent location. Staff was nice. Room was immaculate and good size for 3.

Parking was 7 min walk and cost 36 fr but there are no reasonably priced hotels in the area with parking.

Nice small hotel in Zurich's old town.

Small but comfortable and well furnished room. The location is in a relatively quiet road in the old own and a 15 minute walk from the station. The breakfasts are very good value for Zurich with a nice choice of foods.

Too expensive for what it is even for Zurich! The absence of air conditioning for this price is bad. Very basic breakfast with limited choices, but with good quality products.

Short and sweet

The location was good and my family and I enjoyed our stay. We spent one night here as a pit stop in our travels. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good.

My family and I found that as our room which was on the upper levels with windows facing towards the street, often got a lot of the noise from the tables being moved below quite early and general noise from the street.

The location was extraordinary, in the middle of an old town, yet quiet and pleasant. The stuff was very kind and helpful. Hygiene was excellent. There was a variety of food at breakfast, and free refreshment at the reception

Great location in the old town and close to the lake. About 15 minutes walk from the railway station. Lovely retro bar. We had a 5th floor room with roof garden, which gave spectacular views over the lake and cathedral. Really welcoming and helpful staff. Compact breakfast room. Ample breakfast.

Very pleasant and away from the upper end of the old town. A little less frantic.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also accommodating to find us two rooms on the same floor. This helped to make the family traveling with us more relaxed. They are elderly and it was first visit to Europe.

Bed was too soft, some information missing (Wi-Fi), and a little awkwardly arranged for accommodating clothing and toiletries. Nothing that couldn't be overcome with a bit of rearranging.

Historic Alstadt Hotel

I liked the location in the historical area. It was easy to walk to attractions and had many restaurants nearby. Also very close to the river. Good breakfast variety. Nice ammenities in the room. We had several outlets to use. The bathroom was large. The glass did not wrap all the way around the tub but it wasn't a problem. I would stay here again! Our room was for 3 and we had room to open all our luggage and still walk around.

Zurich Old Town

Lovely little boutique hotel, right in the middle of the old town, just meters from the river/lake. Easy walk from the train station. Breakfast is sumptuous and buffet style, good for a full day out. Rooms are on the small side but totally adequate and comfortable. The only noise is from the lovely church bells ringing out the time and the pigeons outside the window. Staff super helpful and friendly.

Good Location, Comfortable Room

The location is good, in the old town area, and walking distance from the main Zurich HB train station. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, though a little small. The design of the hotel is a little quirky with photo portraits of poets/writers identifying the rooms and artworks of their writings inside the room. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.

When we checked in, we were told that we had already paid for the room and breakfast, but when we went to the breakfast room the next morning and after we got food and sat down, we were told that breakfast was in fact not included and they were charging us 15 CHF per person.
