Ok for a short stop in Montlucon

Nice room, close to the center of Montlucon. Breakfast is ok. The room looks like ibis, and indeed I discovered later this has indeed been an ibis hotel before. Simple but relatively low-cost.

Arrival was automated but a bit messy: you need to provide a lot of info via a terminal - I prefer "real" people. In the end the system would provide my room number and access code by mail, but it took about ten minutes to arrive, not so nice. Maybe it would be easier if they just send a QR code which can be recognised? The surroundings are a bit noisy due to traffic, so no opening of a window during the night.

One of the best hotels I stayed at. Nice, clean, well organised, secure, and the heart of the city next to Le Cher river. Everything is well managed and done. The staff also are helpful and nice. The breakfast is also worth its value and there are also coffee and a vending machines available.

Very nice staff, very clean room, parking lot nearby was clean and safe, excellent location to walk around Montluçon. Had a nice dinner at La Nouvelle Auberge

Bed was good, room clean.

Air conditioning did not work, even after we told the staff to look at it. It ran, made a lot of noise but did not cool the room. The pin code of the door kept changing for no reason. We had to come back down to the lobby to get new code every other night. Room is small, even for French standards. Ok for 1 person, but small for two.

Breakfast was fine. Hotel undergoing continuing redecoration with builders on-site. Underground secure parking was, for some reason, unavailable. This was disappointing.

We will not be staying at an Ibis again.

The location is good for reaching the mediaeval city.

The room was very small and the decor tired. The curtains were falling off the rail and there were bugs on the walls by the window.

convenientand ideal location for my one night stay

good location. clean and spacious room. friendly welcome. didn’t have breakfast or use bar so can’t comment. plenty of space in bathroom for toilet bag etc

shower base was extremely slippery. bed sheet wouldn’t stay tucked in and because bed was two single beds pushed together mattress kept sliding. unfortunately I was woken at 1am by continuous banging of doors, shouting, arguing and banging of furniture which continued for a couple of hours.

The staff were helpful when recommending somewhere to eat and changed our room as soon as we requested. We would have liked to have known that the carpark was underground becaue on this occasion we were driving a van and the clearance turned out to be 1.2 cm. ..... very, very close.

The smell of stale tobacco and dog ends on the stairs. We felt the staff were trying hard but later found one of them smoking just outside a rear door.

A good location near to the medieval part of town. Easy to find - very well signposted as we came in to town. Parking was ideal. Basic but clean facilities with a decent shower
