Lynda was very friendly and helpful. The location is great and we loved the garden for the dogs to play in. The charcuterie in the evening nd breakfast was delicious. The homemade preserves and all the breads, cheeses and hams were excellent. The big bath in room Champagne was a real bonus.
Would prefer black out curtains, but only a minor point.

The old chateau is quite picturesque - is still being renovated - room was not big but had all comfort. Host Linda was great and prepared a super nice breakfast including home baked cakes....

Peaceful location ,off street parking.
A very long walk for an evening meal if you didn't want to drive.Pillows were uncomfortable.

It was great that the hostess was flexible to allow as an exception on the check-in time at around 3pm. Their normal check-in time is 5pm which is quite unusual and late.
The chateau is really a small heritage house with a tower. It was owned by vineyard owners way back a few hundred years ago. The current property is tastefully furnished to preserve some of it's history, and managed well.
The breakfast is of home-made breads, muffins and a variety of jams.
Nothing really.

Our host Lynda was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, and nice and cool in the hot weather. A lovely breakfast - great selection of fresh produce, and served by the host.
Situated just a short drive from Montluçon where there's plenty of places to eat and easy parking. We enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. For us it was a great place to break a long journey for just a couple of nights.
We have a large car and the entrance off the road was a little tight, but not too much of an issue, and once in there's plenty of room to park.

Its quirkiness and the fact it only had 3 rooms. The bed was fabulous and comfortable.
The bedroom was quite warm and the only window was not accessible to open

the little things made it lovely
not much light in our room due to tiny window that was very high

This is the 3rd Time I have stayed there, 1st time brilliant, 2nd time good, 3rd time ok. The last stay just didn't feel as special, Lynda was as always very pleasant, and breakfast was as always very good and server at 6.30am with a smile.
Very small issue with the bathroom as there was no soap, yes, we could have asked for some, but it was late.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome and thank you for cold drinks after a long drive on a hot day.
The downstairs room ideal for us and very spacious as was the shower room as well.
Thank for the evening meal, we loved it, a very nice platter of artisanal charcuterie, regional cheeses, salad, dessert and a glass of wine at 20€
The breakfast was fantastic and plentifully the next day.
It was a shame that we only stayed for 1 night on our drive down to Spain.
Thank you for our lovely stay.
NOTHING FIRST CLASS.

Madame is very welcoming & was happy to provide us with a bottle of milk (we English need it for our tea!). On first sight the place looks a little rough & ready but inside it's perfectly pleasant. The breakfast highlight was some small chocolate cakes (made in-house we suspect). Other guests were two couples, one with a small son, but we didn't have any noise in our part of the house.
Very good price for a one night stay.
It's an observation not a criticism that the location is a fair way out of Montlucon itself, so you would have to drive into the city if you wanted dinner, for example. We ate before we arrived so it wasn't a problem.

Delicious breakfast, nice room with patio and we felt very welcome there. We would definitely go back.

Lovely ground floor room with small terrace. Our hostess welcomed us with a cool drink. Very much appreciated. The breakfast was excellent with freshly squeezed orange, home made jams, brioché perdu, cheese, ham and yoghurt. These items were locally sourced. She gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. It was a lovely stay. I would love to come again. Merci madame.

Lynda, the host, is very nice and helpful! I had an impromptu and had to arrive late at 9:30 pm. She waited for me and welcome me with a smile! and kindly offer to organize a quick dinner for me with delicious cold cuts, cheese and cherries from the garden!
A great place with a great host!

The hotel is small but very well run, very clean, the host is very friendly and accommodating, we were scheduled to arrive 21.00 but due to delays (in England) never arrived until 22.20. We were still met with a smile and a very welcome evening meal with wine for 20E. A very nice continental breakfast was ready at 7am and served with a smile. We did try to book for our return journey but sorry to say it was fully booked. We will now always try to use this hotel when travelling to Spain (hopefully). Simon and Gill
I have nothing i would add, very good as it is, change nothing.

Room was very clean and the host was exemplary. Very helpful and breakfast was suberb. I only wish I had more time to enjoy it, but I have seldom, in all of my business and military careers, seen better. If there were Michelin stars for breakfast, it would be a 3.
The weather!!! EVerything else was perfect

Easy access for a stopover, very comfortable room with plenty of space and on the ground floor. very warm welcome and excellent evening meal which really helps for a stopover. Breakfast had a large choice and was delicious. No doubt a good place to stay for some days, especially for families as the garden looked great for kids.
