Very cheerful lady at reception to greet us. Very quiet room with all we needed for a night's stay. Easy to find and near a commercial centre.

My room was clean and comfortable, cool upon arrival on a very hot day. An easy walk to a shopping centre and beyond to places of interest & close to the river. Great value breakfast.
The location isn’t pretty but it’s not far to walk to the town centre.

Airconditioning was fine but very loud.
At first glance the hotel room seems very basic and clean, but if you look a little closer, you soon notice that this is not the case. On the bed there were a lot of black hairs and I can tell you: we are both blond. Also we saw a small insect on the pillow, which we were not sure if it was a bed bug. Meanwhile you search the entire hotel room for traces, you don't sleep well and you feel dirty (Still not sure what it was). Subsequently it was also very difficult to enter the hotel. While it was 30 degrees outside, you had to arrange your room via a machine inside a small hall without airco. This only became clear after ten minutes when the cleaning lady walked past, because we did not know how to enter the door. In the five minutes we took our bags to the room, we saw three other hotel guests also having problems with this machine. The number on booking.com doesn't work by the way, so you can figure it out yourself.

The receptionist was one of the loveliest people I have had the privilege to be served by, what a lovely happy friendly face after a traumatic days driving. Thank you.

Breakfast. Although we didn’t have the breakfast, we wished we had. It was the best value ever.

Good size room, nicely decorated, well kept and a good price when we visited. Plus the hotel is in a useful location. It’s a shame the negatives outweighed all this.
To begin with we couldn’t get in. Check-in is stated as being from 14:00 but I received no details about how to get in and the reception is unmanned and the door locked until 17:00. A message only arrived many hours after we had left the next day and promised an SMS with a keycode to get in which never arrived at all. If I hadn’t figured that the Booking number might work we would have wasted another 3 hours until staff arrived. When we did get in the room we were allocated was at the top of the main staircase which everybody passes. Obviously the noisiest in the hotel even at the best of times. Although it was late October the temperature had been up to 28°C and the room was very hot. The aircon didn’t work, probably because it was late in the year, but we couldn’t open the window as the car park opposite was being used as a meeting place for a group of car owners who were proud of their sound systems(!) At least the window sound insulation is very good but the same can’t be said of the inside door which didn’t seal properly so we could clearly hear everybody coming or going and particularly the front door slamming as it did constantly early the next morning as everybody left. So it was hard to get much sleep at all. I appreciate that it’s a cheap hotel but not being able to sleep is a fundamental requirement. The fact that there’s a notice in the room urging you to give them a 10 review in exchange for a ‘bonus’ suggests that they expect problems and sounds like bribery. Since we left I’ve also had too many emails looking for a good review along similar lines. If you stay here, ask for a room furthest from the stairs and probably at the back.

Narrow beds. Eggs at breakfast were green coloured.

I cannot fault B&B hotels. They are generally clean and tidy, the staff are polite and helpful and you know what you are going to get for breakfast. Would use this hotel again and recommend it.

Location was good. Breakfast is ok. Parking is good.
Breakfast is simple. Had to remove an earwig from my wife’s bed. We had asked for a double bed via Booking.com but ended up with two singles.

Easy parking at the property. Friendly, helpful staff. Although B&B, pizzas were available to order at other times.
Located in a retail centre on the opposite side of the river to the ‘old town’.

The WiFi only partially worked in reception area and nowhere else. Hard bed, one thin pillow for each. Poor €10 valve breakfast measured to the crumb. At least the shower quality exceeded expectations.
