Brilliant location to stop during our long drive. The staff are friendly & really fantastic.

Beautiful building

Staff (the receptionist) were helpful with the luggage. The hotel is in an excellent position for the chateau (where you can hire golf buggies to navigate the grounds) and handy for the town as well.

I would not recommend travelling by car, particularly if you have a large car or a lot of luggage. There is no space at the hotel for unloading. You have to do this in the paying car park opposite (although first half hour is free once you've entered your registration) but the spaces are quite narrow. There is a secure underground car park nearby once you have navigated the one way system to find it but then pedestrian access to the hotel is up a flight of steps and along cobbles.

An attractive building in a lovely location. It had every facility, was clean and helpful staff.

Location was perfect and our view out the window was brilliant

Facilities were dated and some things not working. Restaurant was poor (one night they only had smoked salmon!) Breakfast options were poor and ‘Hot’ items were cold and the egg cooking machine didn’t work.
