Very good stay except for firm pillows

The breakfast was amazing. We were offered cappucino, plus there was strong excellent coffee where we could serve ourselves. Excellent juices and fruit. Plus a couple of hot items, which may change. Ours were scrambled eggs and american-style bacon. Plus wonderful fresh sweet and savory croissants. Our room (405) was large but the pillows were large and very firm. We asked for soft pillows but none were available. The A/C worked well. The electricity outlets were not convenient. They were under a table so we had to use our phone flashlights to see how to fit our adapters and converters. Would be nice to have an outlet that is table-height.

Hard pillows. One guy at the front desk was older and not very helpful. He didn't have a TV channel guide and didn't know which channels might have sports. With 100 channels, it was VERY slow to determine that channel 64 was the Suoer Tennis Channel. The TV was small and hard to see from the beds. Another younger guy was very helpful with recommending restaurants and sightseeing tips.

My outside balcony with a lovely view over the old city.

The shower needs upgrading. There was nowhere to put soap or shampoo & the floor was dangerously slippery. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bed or mattress needs upgrading to a more comfortable option.

Orvieto old-town is a must and the hotel great for an overnight stay

was not easy to find the hotel, the employee of the nightshift patiently lead me to the hotel, veeeery nice and helpful person!! The room was a bit old but big and calm, breakfast was ok, specially when they briught extra fresh fruits late into the breakfast time

Great location: very quiet but a few minutes away from the duomo. Fantastic terrace to enjoy the evening breeze. It would have been a perfect location for breakfast.

Great location, lovely hotel and fabolous breakfast. Great rooms and wonderful, helpful staff. Sadly we only stayed for one night. The rooms where clean, spacious and we even had a balcony.Good value for money i will higly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Orvieto.

Great location in a fabulous town.

Hotel is in a great location and has clean rooms and a good breakfast.

One of the guys on the front desk was quite off hand, which I didn't feel was necessary and we did not feel very welcomed by him at all.

Elegant, authentic hotel in centre of Orvieto with helpful staff.

Beautiful property , very helpful reception staff- took our bags up , which was extra helpful with the lift not going all the way to 5th floor. Lovely cool lobby to wait in while our room was prepared and enjoyed a perfect Aperol Spritz for only €5.

We loved staying at Grand Hotel Italia. The location was perfect, close to everything. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was large with a great balcony with views over both the city and countryside. The breakfast was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights.

Elegant, great location

Great location. Room 308 was big. Restaurant recommendations of the Reception staff were good. Hotel is clean and elegant. Amenities in the room like slippers were nice.

We had to park in Parking Via Roma due to planned events that prevented us from driving close to the hotel. We had to drag our luggage uphill about 800 meters to get to the hotel. if possible, try to find closer parking if you have heavy luggage. Room 311 looks at a wall and had problems with Internet reception. Not enough water in the refrigerator and we had to pay for it. A courtesy bottle would be nice for the price we paid.
