Porta Vivaria Orvieto- Private Parking

The location was great, only a short walk to the centre of town.

We liked the quitness and the ambient.

No breakfast

Beautiful room with lots of character. Felt like we had gone back in time. Comfortable bed and lovely view from the little terrace outside - we sat and watched the sunset. Good location.

Lack of coffee. Slightly stressful accessing the car park down the narrow roads.

Bed was comfortable.

It was hard to find at night. It’s not like a house or hotel. Just a big wooden door with a sign. We missed it driving around and around. You ring a doorbell and the host answered. Room was on the fourth floor, I kept thinking all night if a fire broke out we would not make it out. No fire escape. Super small elevator which was ok as the building is old.. It was night when we checked in, went up to see the room and then went out to get luggage. Host was no where to be seen. The office / check in was in a room that was now closed and locked. When we opened the door from the room, he had turned the lights off in the building and we could not see to walk down to the first floor! Four floors of stairs. He didn’t show us where the lights were.
